WHAT IS ISLAM? Islam represents the last reiteration of the primordial message of God’s Oneness. It means to submit to the one and only supreme Lord of the universe who is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and the Sustainer of the world and of mankind. The person who submits to the will of God is a Muslim. Islam emphasizes that God (Allah) is the Creator and the Sovereign, while man is His vicegerent on the earth. This exalts man to the noble and dignified position of being Allah's deputy on earth and endows his life with a lofty purpose: to fulfill the will of Allah on earth. According to the Quran, God created man to be the earth’s master. Man can attain supremacy over nature and the world only through knowledge and work, therefore, through science and action. Islam teaches that all men are the creatures of God and that they are all equal. Any discrimination based on color, class, race, or territory is unfounded and illusory, and a remnant of the days of ignorance that chained men down to servitude. Allah has revealed His guidance through His prophets & revealed holy books or scriptures to a number of his Messengers. Muhammad is the last Messenger and Prophet of God, & the Qur’an is the final revelation from God to humanity. Islam’s teachings are simple and intelligible, free from superstitions and irrational beliefs. The Oneness of Allah, the Prophethood of Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the concept of life after death are the basic articles of its faith. All of the teachings of Islam flow from those basic beliefs. There is no hierarchy of priests, no farfetched abstractions, no complicated rites and rituals. Islam is a complete way of life & not a religion in the common and distorted sense, for it does not confine its scope to one's private life, and is present, & provides guidance in every field of human existence. God has no partners or associates who share in His divinity or authority and that God is transcendent, unlike His creations, and thus has no physical form, & doesn’t exist in any material object. In Islam, there is no semblance or likeness of Him, although mankind may aspire to exhibit various attributes of God, such as justice or mercy. God has no offspring, no race, no gender, no body, and is unaffected by the characteristics of human life. Human beings are considered fundamentally “Muslims” in their original spiritual orientation, but being unique creations endowed with abilities of reason, judgement, and choice, they may remain on a God-conscious, righteous path towards divine reward, or may veer away as a consequence of upbringing and life-choices. The Quran emphasizes that there is no compulsion in religion. Muhammad’s role as the final prophet of God was to confirm the authentic teachings of previous prophets and his life serves as a perfect model of how to practice Islam fully. Muslims believe in Angels, unseen beings who worship God and carry out God’s orders throughout the universe. Muslims believe that on the Day of Judgment, humans will be judged for their actions in this life. The knowledge of the Day is with God alone; none can reveal its time but He. (Quran 7:187). Divine decree, an article of faith in Islam, means that whatever happens in one’s life is preordained, and that believers should respond to the good or bad that befalls them with thankfulness or patience. This concept does not negate the concept of “free will;” since humans do not have prior knowledge of God’s decree, they do have freedom of choice. The Quran says “God places no burden on a soul greater than it can bear”. Hence, it dispels asceticism or celibacy. The material world is not Satan’s kingdom, and the body is not the seat of sin. In the Christian Gospels, God is the Father. In the Quran, God is the Master. Allah Akbar ‘God is Great’ implies no deity worthy of worship except Allah.

The Zionist evil view! Shocking!
Wow! Canadian journalist asks Moshe Feiglin, a former Likud Member of Knesset, if he is concerned about Israel's plummeting global standing. Feiglin's response is chilling, as it reveals the fundamental supremacist view he and many in Israel hold. He says that the real moral supreme court is in Israel, ie with the people of Israel. The Bible says, he explains, that those who bless Israel will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. As a result, it's we - Israelis - who get to judge you, rather than you judging us. And then he adds? "Are you with the children of God or not?"

Jawar Mohamed, your prescription for Moyale is theoretically brilliant, provided Ethiopia has a functioning, impartial Federal Government. Unfortunately, that is precisely the inconvenient reality your post so elegantly avoids. Ethiopia increasingly risks descending into failed-state conditions. From Tigray’s devastating conflict and renewed tensions, the Amhara insurgency, dangerous rhetoric surrounding access to the Red Sea and Eritrea, to Oromia’s alleged territorial expansionism, the country faces a profound crisis of governance and federal credibility. Now, your remarkable proposal is to entrust disarmament to federal security forces whose alleged collaboration with Oromia regional forces in the Moyale conflict has already shattered confidence in their neutrality. What an ingenious formula? appointing the accused as the referee, surrendering the weapons, and hoping for justice? Disarmament works where the centre is trusted. Where credible allegations of federal complicity remain unresolved, it risks becoming an instrument of selective vulnerability and persecution. Those allegations demand independent investigation, not convenient silence. A genuinely impartial and functional Federal Government should have contained the Moyale crisis within days. Instead, the continuing insecurity raises fundamental questions about political will, constitutional responsibility and equal protection. The sustainable alternative is permanent, professional security deployments by both Somali and Oromia regional governments, clearly demarcated administrative jurisdictions, robust civilian protection, and institutionalised security cooperation under genuinely neutral federal oversight. The Federal Government should invest in roads, markets, universities, hospitals and cross-border trade infrastructure. Let Oromia and Somali regions compete in prosperity, productivity, investment and opportunities, not territorial conquest or the accumulation of DShKs and RPGs. In the 21st century, communities should be competing over who builds better hospitals, educates more children and creates more jobs. Economic prosperity gives communities something worth protecting together. Endless conflict offers only mutual destruction. Peace cannot be manufactured by disarming communities while leaving the underlying allegations of state complicity unaddressed. Neutrality must precede trust, and trust must underpin disarmament. Jawar, you understand Ethiopia’s political machinery far too well for anyone to believe you have simply overlooked these realities. Your post is remarkable not for what it proposes, but for what it so conveniently chooses not to address.
Federal security forces must disarm both sides of the conflict in the Moyale area, allowing only legally registered firearms to be retained in accordance with the law. Particular attention must be paid to heavy weapons. There is absolutely no justification for local militias to possess DShK heavy machine guns and RPGs. Peace-loving citizens should help security forces identify where these weapons are hidden. It is unacceptable for militias to conceal heavy weapons during peacetime only to retrieve and use them when conflict erupts. Disarming both sides is essential to preventing a recurrence of violence and protecting civilian lives.

The Palestinian population in Israel is approx. 25%, at 2.5 million. They are classified as Arabs, not Palestinians, in order to deny them their identity, and sever their relations with Palestinians in the occupied territories. They vote in the Israeli elections, and expect about 19 seats in the 120-member Parliament in the current elections. Nonetheless, they do not enjoy the same rights as the Israeli citizens. There are over 100 laws that discriminate against these Palestinian citizens in Israel. The country is codified in law as the national homeland of Jewish people. There is none in the Cabinet, but they have a judge in the Supreme Court. They serve in the army and police but at a deputy commander level at most. The nearly 5 million Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, and 2.3 million in Gaza do not vote in Israeli elections. But the 1 million Israeli citizens living illegally in the West Bank do vote in the elections. Historically, the Palestinian/ Arab parties in Israel stay out of Government. With 19 seats, and a tie in the two major coalitions, they will be the kingmakers if they opt to join the Jewish coalitions which in the campaigns have made it clear they would not want to form a coalition with Arab because of their conditions. In the above clip, Netanyahu rules out a coalition with them. But will the Arab Palestinians want to join his Government anyway? #GazaGenocide‌ #FreePalestine

At the UN, he called the Security Council a terrorist organization. For that, they bombed his country into the Stone Age. They dragged him from a drainage pipe and murdered him in the streets like a dog while the world watched. They didn't kill him to save civilians. They killed him because he was building a world that didn't need their permission to exist. Never forgive. Never forget. 🇱🇾✊🏿

A clear evidence that Oromo leadership pursued expansionist agenda to recreate the boundaries of Somali region to favour their region. Farcical. Abadula confirms Moyale is Somali majority but had to be split into Oromia & Somali regions to appease the Oromo. Now under Abiy Ahmed, the urgency to ethnically cleanse Somalis out of Moyale as the reporter suggests is being pursued. @FarahMaalimM @SuleimanDedefo @Jawar_Mohammed @aliiroba
Oromia President Abadula Gemeda says they rejected the 2004 referendum because Somalis were the majority in Moyale & would have won the town.He claims they saved part of it by creating two sides, Oromia & Somali. “Somalis were there for long time we can’t forcibly displace them”.

Misplaced. Dead on arrival. One side is the aggressor, and has federal forces weapons & support. It’s pretty clear that only the Somalis will be disarmed under the circumstances. Any attempt to disarm one side will only escalate the conflict. Why is it so difficult to rein in your folks on steroids? And why is it difficult to explain why Somali region administration cannot hoist their flags in their territory without being attacked by Oromos? Worse, where is the federal government forces? Absent on convenience!

Broke ground for the KSh70 billion Devki Group cement and clinker manufacturing plant at Ngaaie in Mwingi North Constituency, Kitui County. This major investment will transform the region's abundant limestone deposits into industrial wealth, boost local businesses and create 4,000 jobs during construction.

MOYALE: A FALSE FLAG OPERATION? It was Wednesday 21st October 2026. On that bright sunny morning, a young 13 year old Somali girl, Diko Ibren Idow, was shot dead by the Oromo region security forces as she witnessed the hoisting of a flag on a government-leased building in the Somali-administered location (Qabale) of Moyale town. Two others were injured. The building is owned by a Somali, Dinow Manur, who had bought the same from an Oromo businessman several years ago. Federal security forces intervened immediately. The Oromo administration claimed that the building’s previous Oromo owner had unpaid taxes, and hence it remains part of its administration. Weird? Nonetheless, the Somali side agreed, and decided to move the offices to an adjacent building on Thursday morning, 22ndOctober. There was no retaliation by the Somalis. By afternoon of the same day, the Oromos started the invasion. The town came under heavy fire from the Oromo side. This was followed by simultaneous attacks on other towns like Hudat, Chamuk, etc accross the Dawa Zone. Clearly, the hoisting of a flag was a false flag operation. The Oromo’s long held plan to take over Dawa Zone was now in full swing. Soon, tens of thousands of Oromo militia, supported by Federal security forces, were attacking the Somali towns across the Zone in droves. The real question is: why would raising a flag over an office that is located inside the Somali-administered part of Moyale be an issue for the Oromia side to start a war? Wasn’t Somali region flag already raised in Moyale for over 35 years? Is there no functioning Somali Region administration on the Somali-administered side of Moyale? What is new? You are the mouthpiece for the PM. It’s a pity you can be pretentious about what happened. There are state and federal institutions in Moyale to answer all your queries, but you are not interested. Is there a will for ‘ an independent and impartial investigation’ from Abiy Ahmed? Has Oromo identity not become ‘a tool for incitement, intimidation, territorial ambition’ in Ethiopia? @SuleimanDedefo @AbiyAhmedAli
Moyale: Ethiopia Must Rise Above the Politics of Division I strongly support the call of “Tranquillity (ከድር ዑመር )” to uncover the truth about the turmoil in Moyale and to confront the dangerous misuse of ethnic identity for political purposes. The suffering of innocent people must not be reduced to a contest between communities or exploited by those who see division as an opportunity. The questions raised about the flag deserve clear and credible answers. Who ordered it to be raised? Why was it raised at that particular time and place? Who authorized the action, who carried it out, and who knew about it beforehand? An independent and impartial investigation must follow the evidence wherever it leads and hold those responsible accountable under the law. No individual or group should be condemned without proof, and no community should be blamed for the actions of individuals. At the same time, Moyale should compel us to reflect on a broader national question: How long will Ethiopians continue to pay the price for politics that turns their identities into weapons? We must be honest about our history. Ethnic identity has played an important role in mobilizing oppressed peoples against tyranny, exclusion, and injustice. For many communities, the struggle to have their language, culture, dignity, and rights recognized was both necessary and legitimate. Those achievements must be respected and protected. But a cause that once helped people resist oppression can be misused when political actors place ethnic loyalty above justice, common citizenship, and human life. When identity becomes a tool for incitement, intimidation, territorial ambition, or personal gain, it ceases to serve the people in whose name it is invoked.

Our Borana brothers are pawns in the larger Oromo patriarchy dynamics that seeks an expansionist agenda in the larger Horn of Africa. Moyale town is split into two administrative units ( Woreda), of Oromia & Somali regions. It's naive to suggest otherwise. Sadly, the latest invasion of Somali region's Moyale is Abiy Ahmed's risky attempt to use the conflict in galvanising support of a united Oromo for the conflict in the North, whatever the price. Somalis have had a long relationship with their Oromo brothers. They lived in Somali territory, including Somalia, for long. The first ever Oromo language radio station was in Radio Mogadishu, Somalia. The Somali region was solid supporter of Abiy when he faced revolt even from his own community. His expansionist misadventure has to cease. Reclaiming Hargeisa, Jijiga or Moyale should not live in the minds of the Oromo patriarchy. Hon F Maalim & Hon Hussein simply called out Abiy's regime on his government's atrocity in Moyale, Somali region. The least these leaders can do is to lean on Abiy to back off in the interest of peaceful coexistence in the region.

The ICJ found Israel's occupation unlawful. It must end. Until then, under int'l law, Palestinians have the right to resist it through lawful means. Israel shall protect its youth by ending the colonial project that traps many of them in committing atrocity crimes.
A war is coming to the West Bank Yesterday Palestinian resistance fighters conducted a surgical strike against Israeli occupation soldiers, fully in accordance with international law. In response, Israeli government immediately announced that they will do war crimes and started doing war crimes. All the Palestinian villages in the West Bank are under siege, the city of Hebron is under siege. IDF is demolishing house after house, raiding family after family. They said they want to turn Hebron into Rafah. More than 250 families were kicked out into the streets with nothing. People slept on the street last night. The Israeli election is in 3 days, and the Netanyahu-Smotrich government is going to use this to start a war in the West Bank. The only way to stop this is pressure from all directions. We know it works. International pressure worked for the besieged house in Qusra, which still belongs to the Palestinians because of the all-around attention. It can work for Hebron too. But it will require EVERYONE reading this doing everything they can to stop this. Call your representative, hold a demonstration, organise direct action against the occupation’s assets abroad. Keep attention on the West Bank. ACT NOW.
