If investors bid multi-decade old cos to 35x earnings and then 5 yrs later the stock is flat and 20-25x earnings, I wouldn't blame mgmt.
When other investors pull fwd 5+ yrs of earnings for you, why not take it?
$QQQ megacap longs can't complain about anything this year: the index was flat, then a *$190* - PLUS 33% run happened in 1 mo! - on a failing Iran resolution - then its been flat.
