Wasn't it your party that scrapped NHS bursaries? Plenty of people were put off nursing and other NHS careers because of the extra debt they didn't want to take on.
I'd be careful talking about benefits too. It was your lot that created Universal Credit and your lot that created the system. Around 38% of UC claimants are in work. If people are working and still need support, what does that say about the economy your party left behind?
As for benefits, you and @Helen_Whately seem to be the Queens of them when it comes to claiming at the taxpayer's expense.
And why is it only now that you can fix everything? Your party had 14 years in government and these problems only got worse.
Shabana has made a serious mistake surrendering to Labour MPs. So I’m putting people on notice - when we get into government we will scrap this weak policy.
Immigration is too high. Labour are making a bad situation much, much worse.
The Conservative Party is under new management. I accept this problem started under a previous Conservative govt. Many of those in that Cabinet have gone to Reform where they belong.
