SEC pathetic juveniles if true.
It will force a further divide between the U.S. and Canada, unfortunately.
Canadian crude trading at a $31/bbl discount to the U.S. The largest since 2018, it would appear. Venezuelan oil as well as aluminum would appear to be a growing factor in the future. Oh well, landlocked Sash. can still provide potash.
Who can make this make sense?
Carney: Trump putting tariffs on Canadian industries like steel and aluminum is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Also Carney: I welcome EU’s carbon tax on our steel, aluminum and iron industries.
Canadians, can you see it now? Carney didn’t become PM to get a deal with Trump, make Canada an energy superpower or even build affordable homes.
Carney became PM to further his net zero/green energy agenda (and grow his personal net worth via Brookfield’s extensive stake in green energy).
Isn't that always the EU position? Always condescending to the U.S., but always needing the U.S.?
Kallas acknowledged the fatigue of Europeans with supporting Ukraine
"It is becoming increasingly difficult to explain to the European public why Ukraine needs support, as everyone is tired of this war."
She added that it is especially difficult to wage this war without the support of the United States.
Western Canadian Select (WCS), is now trading to the US at $31/bbl discount, the widest in data going back to 2018. Oil from Venezuela and stupid far left Canadian liberal policies, will continue this slide. Canadians could be so rich. Instead, they have Carney.
What does Ukraine produce?

This is Carney.
Hold on a second. Canadians have been told, for months, that a key tenet in the Prime Minister's whole trade strategy is "walk away from Washington, pivot to Europe". Now we find out his own officials told him in December 2025 that the pivot runs straight into a wall?
The EU's carbon tariff hits Canadian steel, iron and aluminum, the same metals already hit by U.S. tariffs. And even though, with great fanfare, the Prime Minister is forging ahead with some kind of "associate membership" for Canada in the EU, an exemption is "not currently possible." In other words, he sat on that detail for 10 months, until an access to information request forced it out days before he hosts the Canada-EU Summit.
So the plan is: turn down the August terms that were agreed then disagreed to in three days with the U.S., tell workers Europe is the answer, and quietly know Europe is putting up its own border charge. According to the @CBCNews report, that charge is close to $900M a year in exposure in Newfoundland and Labrador, $792M in Quebec, and adds up to $150 more per tonne of steel by 2034.
And recall that he weakened the carbon price in his Alberta deal while knowing that, with it, he made an EU exemption even harder to get.
What kind of diversification is it if you're trading one tariff wall for two and hoping nobody reads the memo?

Simply ridiculous statement. I think it’s an aggravation that Trump holds Cnn in such low esteme. At least you didn’t chew out your assistant/friend for “getting in your shot.” That’s a plus.
💥NEW: CNN's Dana Bash claims Trump *BARELY* gets "PUSHBACK"🤦♂️
Bash asserted Trump only gets "a little bit" of resistance — and "not as much as any other living human being would."
Wrong. The reverse is actually true.
Trump gets bombarded with unprecedented "pushback":
- Assassination attempts
- Constant negative media coverage
- Democrat and Fake News hoaxes
- Impeachments
- Indictments
- Lawfare
- Protests
Just because Trump is the Teflon Don and has mastered The Art of the Comeback doesn't mean he doesn't face "pushback."
Anti-American.
In a couple days the Canada-EU Summit will be held in Montreal to move Canada towards an Associate Member...but there are some interesting things happening.
Quebec Premier Paul St-Pierre Plamondon was banned from speaking at the Summit.
France, Germany and other key EU countries are pushing back against Canada's joining the EU as Associate Member. These are our biggest allies.
Mark Carney promotes it as:
> Give young Canadians opportunities to study, work and travel.
> More opportunities for Canadian businesses.
> Canadian researchers will have more depth of opportunities.
And somehow being tied to the EU will make Canada " a more independent, more sovereign nation". How?!
The reality is that Canadian youth and businesses already have access to all these relationships and opportunities with the EU.
So what is this really about??
Think I agree as a Bayou Cajun, with the exception of shrimp over crawfish. Like both equally.
When I was growing up, I was taught that Cajuns lived within KLFY’s doppler radar.
Later, I learned that there are actually two types of Cajuns… Prairie Cajuns and Bayou Cajuns. And that there were these general differences between the two...
Prairie Cajuns:
Tend to choose crawfish over shrimp
Put boiled eggs and potato salad in their gumbo
Food is more based on smoked meats
Mardi Gras is more horseback riding and chicken chasing
Cajun music is more accordion and fiddle
Tend to cook with less celery
More associated with cattle and rice farming
Bayou Cajuns:
Tend to choose shrimp over crawfish
Food is more based on seafood
Mardi Gras is more boat parades
More associated with bayous and sugar cane farming
Thicker Cajun accent
What is that woman wearing and why?
How can Carney ever make a deal with the USA when he makes comments like this. Can't trust if the USA will keep it? Then why in the hell is he bothering. This puts the whole relationship with the USA as suspect. Will they defend Canada if Russia takes over the Arctic? If we buy the F35 will they use the kill switch on data, leaving our fighters blind? If we can't trust them on trade it's insinuated we can trust them on nothing? Trust is trust, not limited to one subject. Carney is out to destroy the US / Canada relationship. He's doing more damage to the west than China or Russia combined.
Awaiting after midterms. I find this revolting of your Canadian government, specifically Carney. While you have strong thoughts of Trump. Consider American formulation of opinion of Carney specifically and Canadians in general not living within 150 miles of your border.
🇨🇦🇺🇸 For everyone insisting Canada and the U.S. weren’t talking, Kevin Hassett now says negotiations are “gathering steam” and a deal is very close. He says Howard Lutnick has been speaking with Canadian counterparts all week.
This comes just days after the administration adjusted tariffs to benefit some Maine businesses following lobbying by Senator Susan Collins. Political pressure at home matters, particularly when businesses and workers are feeling the consequences.
Encouraging news, but the details will matter. Businesses need lasting tariff relief and predictable rules so they can invest, hire and plan.
Canada can defend its sovereignty while negotiating a better relationship with our largest trading partner. Both countries stand to gain by making things together and competing with the world. 🤝

Good think if true.
🇨🇦🇺🇦 Canadian company Telesat plans to provide Ukraine with an alternative to Starlink by starting to create its own low-orbit satellite network, Lightspeed, which will start operating in early 2028.
Canada does not hide that the reason for abandoning Starlink was the decision of the US government to temporarily limit Ukraine's use of the Starshield system, which disrupted the country's defense operations and left Ukrainians even more vulnerable to continuous Russian attacks.
It has also forced US allies, who are increasingly at odds with the Donald Trump administration, to rethink their dependence on American technology.
So what? The point is not the name change. Pretend to at least be a journalist.
