I find my use of this platform diminishing after the DDoS and resulting breakage of APIs that the pre-sink iOS apps use, because I had those versions pinned. I'll be flying around, as it were, and setting alight here when I feel like checking in with what good folks remain.

“Either these agents are completely untrained, or intentionally putting themselves in situations where they can justify firing into cars.”
Asked about the recent ICE-related fatal shootings in Texas and Maine, Houston’s top prosecutor, Harris District Attorney Sean Teare, tells @camiloreports that the actions of federal immigration agents “in no way resemble” the tactics of “every law enforcement agency” he’s worked for. “Either these agents are completely untrained, or intentionally putting themselves in situations where they can justify firing into cars,” Teare said.

The Trump admin has found “One Easy Trick” to ignore the Administrative Procedure Act, which requires a formal process to change regulations; simply team up with a plaintiff and a friendly judge, and you can erase any regulation you want before anyone in the public can stop you.
JUST IN: Texas sued DOJ to block a Biden-era rule that allowed immigration judges to indefinitely close deportation cases. DOJ, however, immediately sided with Texas and asked the judge to block the rule. Judge Reed O’Connor agreed. All in one day. courtlistener.com/docket/735…

Toni McBride (below), is an LAPD cop who killed Daniel Hernandez in mental health crisis in 2018. Her sister Jacqueline McBride, LAPD cop, just killed a woman in Rampart. They are the 2 killer daughters of cop union mafia boss Jamie McBride who himself was involved in 6 shootings
An LAPD union director’s daughter killed someone and then claimed the stress gave her “Irritable Bowel Syndrome.” She was able to retire from the LAPD at 31 with a disability pension—that we will be paying.

Maybe the media shouldn't have been so quick to announce this "deal" and instead waited for the details but that would have required learning literally the only lesson they've ignored for the past 11 years: everything Trump says is bullshit
Judging by what Iran and Vice President Vance are saying this morning, it doesn't seem this MOU even resolves the Strait of Hormuz issue.

There you have it. Anthropic's CEO said it: The murder of more than 100 schoolgirls in Minab targeted by Anthropic's CLAUDE "is a use case that doesn't even violate our red lines." Time to rise up against these technofeudal war criminals.
CEO of Anthropic Dario Amodei awkwardly smiles through his answer to a question about why Claude AI directly contributed to the US Military bombing of the elementary school in Minab.

I honestly wonder who thought it was a good idea, on the anniversary of D-Day, to have a speech in which the Secretary's own ideology is set in metaphorical parallel to the Nazis opposing the beaches being stormed on D-Day.
Pete Hegseth in Normandy: Sadly, today different European beaches are stormed by different dangerous ideologies. In Spain and Italy and Greece and Bulgaria, boats and men arrive. When will European capitals do something about that invasion? Or is it too late?

I can’t think of a decision more vindicated by history than protesting the pending genocide that everyone with the most basic knowledge of Gaza and Israel knew was coming on Oct 8 2023
The October 8th rally was “too soon” and too controversial for NYC-DSA. Every socialist elected official - including Zohran Mamdani - avoided it. But Darializa Avila Chevalier, then relatively unknown, was there.

The New World Screwworm, a grave parasitic threat, has just been detected in US cattle for the first time since it was eradicated in 1966. The parasite's revival comes after Trump and DOGE slashed funding for Screwworm monitoring programs.

This is the type of crisis that a Democratic president would be held personally responsible for by the media. Instead it’s getting virtually no national attention despite the issue being directly connected to federal cuts enacted by the Trump administration
NEW: @GregAbbott_TX says the spread of New World screwworm into Texas poses an “imminent threat” of widespread damage to the state's livestock industry and economy. He's now declared a disaster for all 254 Texas counties.

NOW: Mamdani says his admin will transfer ownership from bad landlords to non-profits. “For buildings that have suffered chronic neglect, we will work to transfer ownership to responsible stewards. Stewards that include community land trusts, non-profits, or even the tenants themselves.”

This should scandalize anyone who believes in DUE PROCESS. The Trump admin is rushing to suddenly reschedule huge numbers of immigration court hearings for immigrants, so they can order them deported when they miss a court hearing they never knew about.
Scoop: A new immigration court strategy is emerging: mega hearings that may result in more orders of removal if people are not there on time. Lawyers worry these target immigrants without attorneys and who may not know their hearings have been pushed up. npr.org/2026/05/26/nx-s1-583…
