As good as former @NHLFlyers forward Andre Lacroix was on the ice, he was an even better person off it.

Andre Lacroix, famous for his dominance in the WHA as well as the key part he played on the Philadelphia Flyers' original roster, sadly passed away at 81 earlier this week.

Larkin, sitting out among trade speculation, would be a perfect fit for the sad-sack @NHLFlyers — if he wanted to play in Philly.

Couturier: “At times this year, we’re soft, I would say. Not hard on battles. Lose battles easily. It’s one thing to make mistakes and not win a battle, but if you’re in there trying hard and stuff, that’s different. We definitely need to pick up our physicality. It goes into competing as well, I think.”
The @NHLFlyers’ offense, which is last in the NHL in goals per game (1.93), continued to struggle in Wednesday’s 5-2 loss in Washington. Yes, Philly (3-8-4) misses injured wingers Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett. Matvei Michkov did notch his 9th goal.

Wishing @JoeWatsonHockey, shown many moons ago, a speedy recovery from recent shoulder surgery. “I got it because my 11-year-old grandson loves baseball and I want to be able to have a catch with him,” said Watson, 83.

The @NHLFlyers scored 2 goals in the final 4:56 of regulation to tie the score, but CBJ converted a 2-on-0 and won in OT, 4-3.
Jamie Drysdale knotted it at 3-all with 9.6 seconds left. Philly outshot CBJ, 15-1, in the third. Noah Cates scored to start a rally from a 3-0 hole.
Bad loss for @NHLFlyers.
On the bright side….
Matvei Michkov reached 123 career points to tieRon Sutter for the fifth most by a player age 21 or younger in franchise history, behind Eric Lindros (193), Peter Zezel (186), Simon Gagne (158) and Bill Barber (133).
Sizzling winger Matvei Michkov scored his 7th and 8th goals, but the @NHLFlyers blew a 2-0 lead and had their 3-game win streak snapped by the visiting Ducks, 5-4. Philly has lost 13 straight games in which they tried to stretch their win streak to 4.
Fun stat: The @AnaheimDucks’ Cutter Gauthier has as many goals (2) as the @NHLFlyers’ Cole Knuble. 😃
The suddenly surging @NHLFlyers host the @AnaheimDucks and Cutter Gauthier today at 1 on @NBCSPhilly. Flyers have won 3 straight.

.@NHLFlyers will practice Friday morning in Voorhees at 11:30. Free and open to the public.
And he took something off his shot and was very kind to @bernieparent. What a classy man.
So very sad to see this news. I watched Ron Duguay so many times as a Ranger at the Spectrum growing up. After @bernieparent stopped him on a breakaway at the 2012 Flyers vs Rangers Alumni game Ron jumped on our broadcast. He was all class. Ron battled Colorectal Cancer like a warrior. 🙏RIP🙏. May you be at peace and hear the whistles of the crowd. #PuckCancer
