Sept 23. Our investigation breaks. The EC responds the same day: its platforms are protected against "unauthorized tampering", and EROs "function as per statutory powers."
What we didn't know was this.
The very next day, Maharashtra's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) wrote to the EC in Delhi asking for FOUR changes to ECINet, so EROs could use the discretion the law already gives them.
The same concern Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had put on record.

The double standards of the Congress party and its opportunistic alliance partners stand completely exposed once again.
When it comes to Constitutional bodies and established electoral procedures like the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the Congress follows a singular, shameless doctrine: Heads I win, tails the system is rigged.
Look at the glaring duplicity:
In Kerala, where the Congress-led front locked horns with the Left to capture power, their leaders were all praises for the rigorous Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. They championed the purging of bogus entries, credited the meticulous cleanup of rolls for leveling the playing field, and hailed institutional vigilance when it facilitated their victory and ousted the Left. When the process helps them win, it is celebrated as a "triumph of grassroots democracy."
Yet, the moment the very same Special Intensive Revision (SIR) takes place in states where Congress and its allies face inevitable defeat, the script flips overnight:
* When they win: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process is objective, robust and proof of a thriving democracy.
* When they lose: The exact same institutional mechanism suddenly becomes "manipulated," "flawed" and targeted.
This is nothing but the petty politics of convenience. You cannot selectively trust institutions only when the results suit your political fortunes.
The People of West Bengal and the rest of the nation see right through this facade. A political entity that lacks the courage to accept people's rejection cannot hide behind frivolous attacks on routine democratic procedures. Hypocrisy has a limit, but for the Congress and its allies, duplicity remains their only permanent policy !

We have to shed this image of manufacturing centers like Ambattur as dusty, grimy, ugly landscapes.
We have to make factories more inviting as well, if we want humans to work in them and feel inspired to do our best.
This is not a tier 2 or 3 town, this is not even some distant far flung suburb.
This is Ambattur industrial estate, it generates employment for 200,000 people. Has an annual turn over of ₹ 15,000 crore of which ₹ 3,500 cr is exports.
It generates income taxes, CGST, SGST, excise and duties. It's support ecosystem (truckers, cleaners, security staff etc) must run into the 10's of thousands.
It's also an emerging residential real estate hub. The avg per sq in a newer condo is ₹7,500 / 8,000.
Yet it looks like a war torn dystopia. Has ZERO pavements though 10's of thousands of workers walk from railway stations / bus stops to their factori s and back.
Large parts of it lack functioning street lights.
Filthy open sewers, even spotted a few fat pigs in them, cattle, stray dogs, dust everywhere, garbage garbage garbage as far as the eye can see.

Priest Omprakash Yadav was allegedly brutally murdered by being crushed with a grinding stone by two Katuwa’s after he objected to two men allegedly consuming drugs near the temple.
Police have arrested Aashif alias TT and Aashif alias Kalia in connection with the case.
If a priest can be murdered simply for standing up against drug use inside a temple premises, it raises serious questions about the safety of those who dare to oppose criminal and antisocial activities.
