Newly released polling from Searchlight found that voters tend to vastly underestimate how long it takes to build power lines in America.

Obstruction for obstruction’s sake gets us nowhere. If you actually care about our climate, you want to build more clean energy. This bill would make that easier.
Scoop: Enviros held a call Thurs in which progressive opponents tried to rally fence-sitters against the permitting bill. I obtained the transcript. "We really have to have a pretty clear agreement by all parties that this is an effort to stop this bill, not to make it better"

Scott Tinker in The Hill calls China's control of critical mineral processing and battery manufacturing the "Strait of Beijing." A different kind of chokepoint, less visible than the Straight of Hormuz, but just as dangerous. c3newsmag.com/us-energy-secu…

In the first 76 days of the Jones Act waiver, more gasoline and jet fuel moved from the Gulf Coast to the West Coast than in the previous 11 years combined. Puerto Rico purchased more American propane in four months than in the previous 22 years combined. 162 voyages moved 40 million barrels of energy products, half of it gasoline and crude oil. New England received nearly one million barrels of fuel it had no reliable way to access before. And none of this displaced American shippers. The entire 56-vessel Jones Act-compliant domestic fleet was fully employed throughout. The waiver simply added capacity where none existed, getting more fuel to more Americans at lower cost. nationalinterest.org/blog/en…

When we talk about climate change, the part that often gets left out is the need for permitting reform to drive affordable energy options that help us adapt and use more clean energy.

The federal government just proposed steep Colorado River water cuts for California, Arizona, and Nevada, a sign that the West's water crisis has reached a point where voluntary conservation isn't closing the gap. c3newsmag.com/federal-govern…

You probably didn't hear about it, but Trump admin just quietly fixed the housing crisis long-term by restoring sanity to the Endangered Species Act. The old rules were red tape gone amok & actually killed Endangered Species. My latest via @C3SolutionsNews !

Section 106 of the NHPA requires federal agencies to weigh historic preservation before approving projects. It's an important goal but, with no firm deadlines, it's become one more way energy projects get stuck in review purgatory. Permitting reform means keeping the protections and cutting the regulatory drag.

Trump told Canada it should pay damages for wildfire smoke that blanketed the Midwest and East Coast last week. But the solution isn't tariffs, it's properly treating the forests before they burn. c3newsmag.com/trump-threaten…

Colorado's Aspen Acres fire led to 160+ structures destroyed. Utah's Babylon Fire affected over 100,000 acres, the first to reach that mark in eight years. Wildfire risk doesn't stop at a state line, and federal rules not designed for Western conditions keep making the problem worse. c3newsmag.com/wildfire-preve…

The Sierra Club calls Rep. Westerman's ESA amendments the "Extinction Act." The Washington Times calls them long overdue. Less than 3% of listed species have been delisted due to recovery in more than 50 years. The law that was supposed to pull species back from the brink has become a litigation engine that blocks energy projects, transmission lines, and infrastructure — while most listed species remain stuck on the list indefinitely. Amending the ESA isn't abandoning conservation. It's fixing a law that has drifted far from its original purpose. c3newsmag.com/congress-amend…

The Trump administration is announcing today a broad nuclear cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia, potentially allowing the kingdom to enrich its own uranium, with Westinghouse positioned to capture billions in nuclear export business. The deal deepens U.S.-Saudi ties strained by the Iran war, advances American nuclear exports over Russian and Chinese alternatives, and marks another milestone in the global nuclear renaissance. c3newsmag.com/saudis-reach-d…

This one simple red tape fix could Make American Nuclear Great Again! Removing or revising the ridiculous bureaucratic Linear No-Threshold (LNT) model would allow for simpler and cheaper reactor designs! My latest over at @C3SolutionsNews
The NRC's radiation protection framework is built on an assumption that treats any amount of radiation, no matter how small, as linearly dangerous. It was extrapolated from Hiroshima and Nagasaki data and applied to the normal operating doses of modern nuclear plants. A growing body of research on nuclear workers and medical imagers finds little to no detectable harm at low doses. Idaho National Lab says revising the standard could meaningfully reduce costs and construction timelines. The NRC is about to consider doing exactly that. c3newsmag.com/lnt-reform-nuc…

Data centers are getting blamed for America's energy problems. Nick Loris reframed the debate in a new interview with Stand Together alongside Americans for Prosperity's Mario Ottero. The bottleneck isn't data centers. It's the permitting system standing between America and the energy infrastructure needed to power them. As Nick puts it directly: "The challenge is not necessarily the construction of data centers themselves. Instead, the bottleneck is the outdated and complex permitting system that is delaying development of the energy infrastructure needed to power them. Unnecessary reviews, excessive litigation, and abuse by small groups seeking to stop projects they oppose are just a few of the barriers posed by the current system." standtogether.org/stories/th…
