Earlier this month, Blas (@blasnunezneto) and Daniel (@DDinDC) published the results of our immigration message test with voters surveyed in all 66 battleground House districts.
We found NO MORE BACK DOORS messaging resonates most with swing voters.

The report takes the correct premise that a majority of voters express concern about climate change as evidence that politicians must center it in their messaging agenda.
Specifically, it shows that emphasizing climate change modestly helps politicians. As a result, Democratic messaging should “lead with affordability but keep climate on the agenda.”

“I think it’s incredibly important for the climate advocacy community to not mislead itself with reports like this. Generic climate messages like this always test well, but that doesn’t mean they translate to real political benefits.”

Democrats who embrace heterodoxy are running competitive races in states Donald Trump once carried by double digits.
Heterodoxy offers Democrats a path out of extreme polarization. But it's a choice they'll have to make.
For years, Democrats have chosen 50+1 Thinking, conceding that races could only be won on thin margins and that power changes hands every election.
But to achieve progress the level of the New Deal, they will need to think bigger. It's time for Supermajority Thinking.
