Namor’s Tiny Wings Shouldn’t Be Able to Make Him Fly
Namor’s wings are ridiculously small compared to his body, yet somehow they’re powerful enough to carry him through the air at high speed.
They’re part of his mutant physiology, not technology, but the MCU never really explains how they generate enough lift to fly someone his size.
And the funniest part? He can maneuver through the air like those tiny ankle wings are completely normal. Marvel really looked at Namor’s feet and said, “Yep, that should be enough to fly.”

MISTY GREEN is Chris Rock’s brutally honest telling of the struggles of modern Hollywood for a Black woman who once had fame, fell out of favor and is trying to get it back. Rosalind Eleazar is an absolute sensation who receives a role that would make the character she plays jealous as she digs deep to give this character vulnerability, bitterness, desperation, and complexity even if the screenplay and Rock’s direction doesn’t feel up to the task of meeting her there. Really great to see Daniel Kaluuya tear into a small but showy role again. Some other casting choices don’t land as well and a few directorial choices from Rock feel a bit too pronounced for such grounded, serious material but Eleazar’s magnetic performance makes the endeavor worth it.
