At the Stakeholder Consultation on Mining for Future in Goa, Sri Gowtham Potru, IAS, Director (PA&W & Finance FAC), Singareni Collieries Company Ltd., presented SCCL's best practices in CSR.
He shared how SCCL works with communities around its mines, from reviving tanks and lakes under Neeti Binduvu – Jala Sindhuvu and planting 2 crore saplings to skill centres, job melas, school upgrades, mobile cancer screening, community kitchens and Justice on Wheels, with a focus on long-term benefits that do not create dependency.
