I facilitated a session on Climate Science & Misinformation at Kabalega Resort, Nyamasoga, Hoima District. Climate change is already shaping conversations around our farms, water, livelihoods, ecosystems and communities. But as the conversation grows, so does the amount of information and misinformation we encounter. The challenge is not simply knowing more about climate change. It is knowing what to believe, what to question, and where to find credible evidence. One thing stood out for me: community experience matters. People in Hoima and across Uganda are observing changes around them. Those observations deserve to be heard. But they also need to be tested against evidence and reliable climate information. Because misinformation does more than confuse people. It can influence the decisions we make about our livelihoods, preparedness and future. The solution is not to dismiss people's experiences, but to create a culture where we can ask better questions, examine the evidence and have honest conversations. Climate action begins with informed decisions. Observe. Verify. Act. And in an age of overwhelming information, perhaps the most important climate skill is simply this, Learn to question before you share. @shetechtive @nemaug @min_waterUg @CLIMATEINCLUS

THIS IS WHY I CLEANED THE STREETS. The picture might tell you one story, but the broom tells you mine. Over the weekend, I joined the 3rd National Cleaning Day in Lira City, alongside fellow citizens and the Chairman of the National Youth Council I have criticized this cleaning before. The planning, the coordination, waste collection and what happens after the cameras leave. Those questions still matter, but so does this: Government’s shortcomings cannot become my excuse for doing nothing. Government must provide the systems. But citizens must also take responsibility. We cannot demand a clean Uganda while littering our own communities. We cannot wait for someone else to pick up the broom. So I cleaned. I cleaned because I refuse to be part of the problem. I will demand better. I will hold leaders accountable. And I will still pick up the broom. Because civic responsibility is not about waiting for perfect conditions. It is about doing your part while demanding better from those responsible. Pick up the broom. Clear the drain. Stop littering. Keep your neighbourhood clean. We can criticise and still help fix the problem. A clean Uganda starts with me. And it starts with you.
