Amazing scene. Always moves me to tears every time I watch it.
Katherine Hepburn cried real tears when Spencer Tracy spoke these words in โGuess Whoโs Coming to Dinnerโ (1967). Tracy, the love of her life, for whom she had sacrificed everything, including her pride, (their relationship was kept secret because of the actorโs marriage) was dying. After this scene several crew members broke down and left the set. It was Kate who was the โministering angelโ in Tracyโs final weeks, taking care of him at her home. He died 17 days after the film wrapped. Hepburn did not attend the funeral out of respect for his family.

If you'e never read The Falling Man, you should do so. I post this on September 11th every year, and I find time to read it on this day every year. Still, in my eyes, the greatest piece of journalism I have ever read. esquire.com/news-politics/a4โฆ

Itโs ridiculous.โ
