I love Nico Hoerner—just the ultimate professional. He's the same guy on February 28th as he is on October 9th—the same AB, the same approach, the same calm.

Nico Hoerner appreciation tweet.
He has a higher FWAR this year than middle infielders such as Bo Bichette, Masyn Winn and Zach Neto as well as the likes of Vladimir Guerrero Jr, Matt Olson, Riley Greene, James Wood, Pete Alonso and Bryce Harper.

Nico Hoerner has seen THIRTY-FOUR pitches today. That’s thirty-four with a 3 and a 4.

If Dansby Swanson continues to struggle with RISP, what the hell is Craig Counsell waiting for?! Move him down in the order & move Nico Hoerner up?! #CmonMan #BeHereForIt

Craig Counsell needs to be drug tested immediately if he has Dansby Swanson batting 5th tomorrow.
Why does Craig Counsell bat Nico Hoerner 8? Deserves to be at least a spot or two higher in the order #Cubs

How could the House go home without passing a transit bill - total abdication of duties. The Chicago area is the economic engine of the state and will suffer direly due to the draconian transit cuts which will ensue
We ended the spring session tonight without passing a fix for the transit fiscal cliff. That’s disappointing. But I’m not discouraged and we are definitely not done.
The crisis is still here. The buses and trains still need to run. And so do the lives of the people who depend on and operate them. Working people. Students. Seniors. Our essential workers. The people who can’t afford for us to punt on this.
I want to give flowers to my colleague @DelgadoRep. She has done an incredible job steering this effort—balancing input from labor, advocates, operators, the service boards, and the public with clarity and conviction. She led with strength and steadiness, and she should be proud. I’m proud to stand with her and I’ll keep standing with her every step of the way.
I want to also thank @SpeakerWelchIL for his vision and leadership; not just on this issue, but across the board. He continues to guide this body with principle, purpose, and heart.
We know what the stakes are. This isn’t just about funding and fixing transit; it’s about opportunity, access, and equity. The clock is still ticking. And so are we.

Trump overruling Congress's spending power is **THE** dictatorial move. Everything the government does—from its monopoly on force to control of commerce—depends on its power to disperse funds. If the courts let him overrule Congress, that's it. That's the ball game. It's over.

@repmgp and I are proposing a bipartisan task force to examine open primaries, gerrymandering fixes, and other solutions that have worked in Maine.

The City That Works!
Buried in a new @fspielman @Suntimes story is this bit of almost unbelievable City Hall stupidity/insanity.
He’s jamming up routine ward office 311 requests AND wasting the time of his top Deputy Mayor & leaders of @StreetsandSan & @ChicagoDOT to do it. chicago.suntimes.com/city-ha…
