The chaos continues. From a goalie rocochet to an empty-netter, the #Kraken again found the auspices of Lady Luck - and a stellar showing from Philipp Grubauer in net - to take one at home from a Central-leading Utah side. emeraldcityspectrum.com/seat… for @EmeraldSpectrum:

Jerry Dipoto is putting his job fully on the line with the Kanzler hire. Given that he & the org abhorred risk this year, I respect that. But it could also wind up being too smart by half. We’ll see.

The #Reign had sent off the retiring Jess Fishlock in good fashion on Sunday, beating Orlando 1-0 and sealing a playoff spot. Despite the close score, it was a game that even gave hope that the team can pull off a first-round stunner. cascadiafc.com/seattle-reign… for @Cascadia_FC:

#Mariners roster updates

For all the M's fans out there: how high would you be willing to go to keep Randy in Seattle?

The Mariners' Cole Young has officially won the AL Gold Glove at second, beating out Michael Massey and Chase Meidroth. For Young, it's a massive accomplishment. Is it a snub for the others? Well, that's complicated. emeraldcityspectrum.com/seat… for @EmeraldSpectrum:

Jordyn Bugg noted that scoring set piece goals was a focus for the Reign's training this week. "We've been working on it, and once we put our mind to something, we can do it. And I think that proves how close we are as a team":

Here's the full answer from Jess Fishlock on the topic of team growth:

Laura Harvey talked about what the Reign have to do to beat Gotham in the first round of the playoffs next Sunday. "The games we've been disappointed with are when we haven't turned up, so our biggest task next week is turn up":

I asked Laura Harvey about the impact Jess Fishlock has had on the NWSL at large over her career. Harvey mentioned the many moments when she could have gone elsewhere but decided to stay.

"Some of it is a bit of luck, a bit of luck, a bit of commitment on thinking it's going to happen instead of waiting for it to happen, and it's a little bit of quality ... when the quality of the cross was good, it created chances." -Laura Harvey on the Reign's shaky finishing

"I felt like we deserved the win. The more the ball kept going across the goal and not going in, I said 'Oh god, not one of these games' ... I wish we could have made it easier on ourselves, but just so proud of the group." -Laura Harvey on Seattle's Decision Day win

"Sam and Ains have a great relationship, they bring such balance to our team and to each other ... their growth and their development is when they add that forward bit to our game." -Jess Fishlock on Sam Meza and Ainsley McCammon's contributions to the Reign

"Today's performance shows growth in us. We've had plenty of big games over the last couple years where perhaps it's got a bit too much for us at times ... but today, you don't get much bigger than having to win to get in ... we were calm, we were in control." -Jess Fishlock

"We know throughout the season, there's been games we've been disappointed with, or games we felt we let ourselves down ... but I don't think there's ever been a doubt in our group ... playoffs are different." -Jess Fishlock on the Reign's playoff outlook

"I feel like this girl is just phenomenal, and I'm so happy she signed another contract ... I really think that JB's future is whatever she wants it to be ... the only sad thing about my retirement is that I don't get to spend more time with them." -Jess Fishlock on Jordyn Bugg

"I'm just happy. I'm really happy, one for our performance, I thought we played well today ... obviously it's an emotional day, but the joy of getting to the playoffs with this team is my main emotion." -Jess Fishlock on the Reign making the playoffs on the last day

The Reign’s round one playoff match against Gotham will be on Sunday at 12:30pm E / 9:30am P on ABC

FINAL: #Reign 1 - 0 #Pride -Seattle's interrupting game was very good, Orlando's chances were few and far between -Reign got 2.3 xG even with trouble connecting passes at times -The Reign are IN THE PLAYOFFS!
