The average number of heatwaves per year per station (area-weighted) in the U.S. have decreased by 27.9% since the start of the 20th century. The only way one can get a slight increase is by starting the analysis in 1960 or 1970.
My findings have bee confirmed in both the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA4, Chapter 6) and more recently in Christy (2026), a research paper recently published in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Climatology.

What’s more, the number of daily record high maximum temperatures (Tmax) set have not increased since 1895. The ratio of record highs to lows, however, has increased, but that’s only because record low minimum temperatures (Tmin) have decreased at a faster rate than highs.

Accepted forms of ID to vote under the SAVE Act:
1. Enhanced REAL ID: Only available in 5 states. Costs up to $50 and requires a birth certificate which 40M Americans lack access to.
2. Valid passport: 146M Americans do not have and costs at least $130. Trump gutted the agencies issuing them.
3. U.S. military ID card presented with military record of service.
4. Government-issued photo ID showing place of birth: 300M Americans do not have one, and costs up to $50.
5. Non-Enhanced REAL ID driver’s license, state ID, or tribal ID shown in conjunction with a birth certificate (40M lack access to) that matches your last name (which 69M women do not have due to marriage) and other forms of documentation.
Ironically, the states the SAVE Act hurts the most: West Virginia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
If the SAVE Act was actually a Voter ID bill, then it would propose making the validate forms of ID free and easily accessible, bringing it in line with the 24th Amendment.
Until then, it’s just another Republican voter suppression bill, that makes registering to vote, voting, and ensuring your voting status harder.

My point is this pastor told "young men" to find a "girl" & the same pastor warned men to flee the sexual temptation of a "shady little girl in a miniskirt."

Josh, you have been so dear to me. I legitimately love you. I don’t even like writing this reply but I’m flummoxed. Numbers 4 and 5. What are we to make of the apostle Paul whose life was the furthest thing from inconsequential and unfulfilled? Or of his recommendation of singleness to those who could control their passions? And, Josh, cute girls? Is that our qualification for being a good pick to marry?
