ALT Graphic with text: We stand united against racism and Islamophobia. Over the last week, we have seen racial and Islamophobic violence, aggression and intimidation that cannot be justified. Our city and wider district has a rich history of welcoming people from across the world to make Bradford District and Craven their home. We have stood strong in the face of people who want to cause division among communities. We are now calling for that show of strength so that we can continue to show that we will welcome anyone who wants to be part of a vibrant, diverse and compassionate place. We must continue to stand firm against racism in all its forms, we must continue to call out behaviour that goes against our common human values and we must continue to look out for each other. And we must continue to go about our daily lives, while making sure we take any necessary steps to keep ourselves and others safe.

ALT The Patient and Carer Experience and Involvement Team will be hosting a BDCFT Broadcast to talk about Carers and Carer rights, and we feel that the best way to do this is to hear it from carers themselves. This will be in line with the upcoming Carers Week, taking place from 10- 16 June. The theme this year for Carers Week is ‘Putting Carers on the map’. The story would be shared as a video, or if you are not comfortable with this a written statement we can share. The video can be recorded by yourself, or we can assist in recording you. We would like you to share anything about your carer experience that you think is important for staff to hear and learn from. If you are interested in taking part in this Broadcast video, please get in touch with the Team at [email protected] or call 01274 228298. Please can you let us know by 22 April, so we have time to record and edit videos.
