The UK Green Party has said it will not engage with The Telegraph after the newspaper published a "racist and antisemitic" cartoon depicting deputy leader Mothin Ali (pictured) preparing to devour the severed head of party leader Zack Polanski.
“The Telegraph is pushing Islamophobia and antisemitism to try and divide our movement, but it won’t work," Ali said in a statement shared with The New Arab.
"Zack, myself and our entire party are united in support of Palestinians and against the racist drivel the Telegraph spouts.”

Well what a surprise.
Just days after Labour wins in Holborn & St Pancras the government is thinking of redirecting resources from fighting climate change (and supporting the local heat pump industry) into the coffers of the notoriously corrupt and wasteful defence companies (most of them now majority owned by a handful of global asset management firms)... and are planning to approve new drilling at Jackdaw gasfield this week.
If Jackdaw is approved, the much, much larger gasfield of Rosebank is likely to follow - which multiple environmental groups have made clear would mean the UK would never be able to meet its Paris Agreement targets.

We have a media which portrays opposition to Israel’s crimes as antisemitism.
That same media is viciously and relentlessly Islamophobic.
And as we see here, has no qualms using antisemitic tropes against “the wrong sort of Jew”
This cartoon, which was published in the Daily Telegraph, is clearly antisemitic and Islamophobic.
It plays to typical tropes - of the large-hook-nosed-nosed Jew, and the Muslim who wishes to kill Jews.
