If everyone went trick or treating as Obama that would drive Trump crazy.
Just a little reminder that @realDonaldTrump's White House trick-or-treating has never come remotely close to being as cool as @BarackObama's White House trick-or-treating.

My uncle spent 40 years as a high school teacher. Saved $250k in a modest nest egg. At 78, he developed dementia and needed memory care. The facility cost $8,500 a month. When his savings ran out after two and a half years, the social worker handed my cousin a stack of paperwork. She explained the rule: "Medicaid won't cover a single day until he has less than $2,000 in total liquid assets." He had to sell his car, cash out his remaining life insurance, and empty his checking account just to qualify for basic care. Forty years of discipline, erased down to two thousand dollars so he could die in a shared room. They don't let working class families leave a legacy. They make sure you die with zero before they hand you a safety net.

Melanie Joly has brought Cleaveland-Cliffs to its knees. I have the utmost respect for this woman. She will go down in history as someone who protected Canada’s steel industry and workforce
Cleveland-Cliffs’ CEO just admitted it: they bought Stelco in bad faith to kill Canadian competition, and Ontario steelworkers are paying with their futures. Ontario can’t stand on the sidelines. Ford and Carney must bring Stelco under public ownership and protect these jobs.

Correct me if I am wrong John. Mrs. Carney is not being paid a govt salary for this position. It is voluntary. But she is very qualified. Perhaps it is time to compare your resume as a paid MP to hers?
WATCH QP October 27, 2026: The government is not a family-run business. The Prime Minister created an official Government role for his wife as Canada's new "Ocean Envoy" and gave her more than $1.2 billion tax dollars to work with. Liberals shut down a motion to have her appear at Committee to explain her new role, her mandate, her priorities, and what the $1.2 Billion tax dollars will be used for. #cdnpoli

"New records obtained by KARE 11 show the company that owned a vacant private prison in Appleton, Minnesota offered to sell it to the state in 2025 for $75 million. One year later, the Trump administration agreed to use taxpayer funds to buy the same abandoned prison from CoreCivic, Inc., for $495.6 million. The price difference, $420 million, is more than taxpayers are estimated to have lost in Minnesota’s much-publicized Feeding Our Future fraud scandal." kare11.com/article/news/inve…

The guy who kept Shaq and Charles Barkley in line on TV for 37 years used to spend his mornings shaving and dressing his son, who could barely move and breathed through a ventilator. Then he'd go to work and laugh with those guys all night like nothing was going on. Tonight Ernie Johnson said this season will be his last, and Barkley tried to thank him on air and couldn't get the words out. I don't think most people watching that clip know what Ernie was carrying all those years. He and his wife Cheryl adopted Michael from an orphanage outside Bucharest in 1991, when he was 3. He had Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and doctors didn't think he'd make it to his 20s. He lived to 33. When Ernie was home, getting Michael ready in the morning could take an hour and a half, and Ernie did the showering and shaving and dressing himself. In 2006 he told viewers he had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and by the end of October he was back at the desk while he was still going through chemo. When Michael died in 2021, Ernie wasn't on the show that week, and Shaq, Kenny and Chuck spent about six minutes trying to hold it together while they talked about a kid most of America never met. Then last year he had heart bypass surgery, and this summer he turned 70. Ernie's dad pitched in the big leagues and then called Braves games for decades, and he gave his son a rule Ernie's talked about forever: if somebody spikes you at second base, never rub. If you've ever wondered why nobody's been able to copy Inside, that rule is a big part of it. Barkley could say the dumbest thing imaginable, Shaq could fall out of his chair, Kenny could go running to the big board, and Ernie would just pick it up and bring it back to basketball with that yellow legal pad. Those three got to be chaos because the guy in the middle never made his own stuff the show. He still calls hosting a "get-to job," and he was calling it that the same year he buried his son. So when Charles Barkley, who's roasted pretty much everybody alive on live TV, can't finish a sentence to the man, that's why.
Charles Barkley and the guys give Ernie Johnson his flowers. This is a must watch. (via @ohnohedidnt24)

BREAKING: REPORTS OF US STRIKES ON IRANIAN TARGETS. Over the past two hours, reports claim that the United States has carried out several military operations inside Iran. • A US fighter jet reportedly flew over Qeshm. • A missile site was reportedly struck. • The naval base at Bandar-e-Jask was reportedly bombed. These reports point to a serious escalation against Iranian territory. Iran has repeatedly warned that its sovereignty and national security cannot be ignored. Military pressure will not resolve the deeper conflict between Washington and Tehran. The international community must not overlook the consequences of strikes on Iranian territory. Every new attack increases the danger of a wider regional confrontation. Iran has the right to defend its sovereignty. Washington must understand that lasting security cannot be built through bombing and threats.

Things the premier of Quebec is responsible for: hospitals, roads, electricity, education, natural resources, language, police. Things the premier of Quebec is not responsible for: international relations.

Patrick Stewart on Trump (2017): “You might say to me, well, you’re not an American, what has it got to do with you? The fact is when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. America I think is on the edge of a very bad flu infection and it’s because of the man who’s in the White House”
