The hugely popular #HarryPotter Marauders Fanfiction "All the Young Dudes" has landed a trilogy deal titled "Wolfboy." In the book version, Remus Lupin becomes Reece Morris and Hogwarts becomes the boarding school Hatherlea. The rights are reportedly worth a seven-figure sum!

breaking my silence that I think this fic had none of the canon compliance it claims and grossly mischaracterized Remus Lupin and people treating it as 'basically canon' need to stop

George Orwell worried that a shrinking vocabulary would eventually produce a shrinking range of thought. It is difficult to think a nuanced thought with a blunt language.

"if you open this fic you'll see something upsetting and i don't want to hear you cry about it later bc i just told you, you would" that's what it actually means at its core. not what it's supposed to mean originally, but it is how it's used now

the whole point of New Gods is that it’s an artist driven book by one guy building a visually coherent mythology about his experiences in war when has a modern writer brought anything but their middle class neuroses to these characters

"You're a loser" I hope your favorite niche comic character gets poorly adapted with a talented and charismatic actor playing the role so they permenantly override the character's public perception and brand synergy causes their performance to bleed back into the comic books

Sanji is so thematically tied to the sea that he has never even lived on land; Germa is a seafaring kingdom, the Orbit was a ship, the Baratie is an ocean-going restaurant and of course the Merry & the Sunny are ships... he and the sea belong together
