Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee signals Christa Pike's death sentence is unlikely to change after the convicted killer survived a failed lethal injection on Sept. 30 — and her attorneys push for commutation to life without parole.
"I suspect her sentence will be the same as it was before unless determined otherwise by the courts," Lee said.
Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer, a fellow Job Corps participant in Knoxville. Investigators say Pike's throat was cut multiple times, she was struck in the head with a large piece of asphalt, and a pentagram was carved into her chest.
Pike later confessed. A former Knoxville police chief who investigated the case said Pike was "ruthless" and "almost giddy" recounting the killing — even bragging about it in class the next day and showing off blood-stained shoes.

🚨A convicted murderer serving a life sentence is on the run in Tennessee.🚨
Jacob Allen Morley (28) escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex on October 25.
Morley was convicted of murdering Cody Wayne Birchfield, whose body was discovered buried beneath Morley’s home in 2022. 😳
Authorities say surveillance footage shows Morley breaching the prison’s perimeter fence.
How does a convicted murderer serving life manage to escape a maximum-security prison?

Nine dead in Erie Mass Shooting-
Police have released new details about Friday’s mass shooting that left 8 victims and the suspected gunmen dead in Pennsylvania.
According to investigators, two women were desperately seeking help outside a Perry Street home when a 45-year-old man emerged and shot them.
Inside the residence, police discovered 6 more victims, including a 5-year-old boy, a 1-year-old girl, two young men (19 and 21), and two women (24 and 44). One woman was eight months pregnant.
The gunman was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police say all 9 deaths occurred before officers arrived. The suspect was related to 7 of the 8 victims. 😢

Here is what really happened. Kevin filed his frivolous motions under the assumption that he would be able to bully an unrepresented juror with limited resources. Kevin now regrets filing said motions because the hero is now represented by Edward and has received significant public support from every sane person with a functioning brain.
Kevin still has time to withdrawl his motions which he should because he looks foolish. Perhaps he will do that last minute. He should because his motions are extremely week and delusional. Just like him.

ASTONISHING REVELATION:
I just learned that Kevin "Shooter McGavin" Reddington HAD multiple peremptory challenges remaining when the opportunity to strike Michael came around. Reddington could have eliminated Michael during jury selection but failed to do so. This sore loser who practices law as though our beloved profession were fake pro wrestling has no one to blame but himself for failing to close out a defense verdict that he had in the bag.
Clearly, Reddington liked Michael well enough long before the mistrial. The sophomoric whining after the fact is pure sour grapes from an angry, mean, and tired old man who thought that a defense verdict was owed to him as though a birthright. Looks like Shooter McGavin Reddington had a gimme tap-in putt to win the Gold Jacket but choked the fateful decision under pressure.
