The first time I saw great grace at work was when Faithy, Great and I traveled to India in 2017. The year before, I was part of a different team that qualified to represent Nigeria in Washington DC. There was no important person in Nigeria we didn’t write to, for sponsorship, but we got zero response. The silence was crickets. The following year, I remember praying and telling God, “I have reached the end of myself now, I hand it all over to you. I lean completely on you.” And boom, we got invited to an all expense paid competition in New Delhi, India through Reginald Aziza’s recommendation, but only two out of three of us were sponsored. Then, we went to the Indian embassy, a month or so before we were scheduled to fly out, and ran into someone (Mr H) who remains a mentor till this day, and Mr H offered to pay for the last person who wasn’t sponsored. The story didn’t end there. We got back from India. And then boom, we were in the blogs and I remember a mentor asking me if I still had my visa to the US from the previous year. I answered yes, and he immediately booked my ticket to New York. The crazy part was, this was all over WhatsApp. No single letter was written, compared to the previous year, when we wrote over a 100 letters (travelled to Lagos from Ife to deliver some in person) and got zero response. When grace is at work, there will be very loud signs. Everything is quickened, and all your efforts receive speed.

The many beat the money. The people beat the corporations and special interests. Hope beat hate and fear.
Michigan, we won.

Nigeria's upstream story took the global stage in Abu Dhabi this week.
Speaking live on Bloomberg Horizons Middle East & Africa at ADIPEC 2026, the Commission Chief Executive of NUPRC, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, shared what the Nigeria 2026 Licensing Round brings to the market: 40 blocks across onshore, shallow water and deep offshore terrains, ahead of the Round's official launch on 20 November.
She also spoke about the strong interest investors are showing in Nigeria's upstream sector, and the progress from our recent rounds, with earlier awardees now moving towards development.
The opportunity is open. Explore Nigeria, Energise the World.

There will be a breakup after which you lose your ability to love. That is when you become an economic unit and your sole purpose is to boost GDP per capita (nominal) till you die.
