I was at a college party one time. I was about 19. I sat on a couch & watched as a girl I went to school with hung all over a guy for hours. (This girl had had a crush on me, but I was never interested) Both were drinking. She was being more forward than he was. She pulled the guy into a room & shut the door As this happened, me & my friend left to go to a convenience store & came back We get back & the police are there She claimed he r*ped her He said they didn’t even go that far & that she was the one who was being aggressive He did not strike me as the type to do that or to lie Later, a detective called me, saying that the girl said I watched the whole thing & heard her cries for help & wouldn’t help. Except I wasn’t even there, so that’s impossible The other ppl who were there when the alleged crime took place heard no such thing. Guess who the police believed despite all the witnesses contradicting her claims? The MeToo movement came after that, & I knew it was mostly BS
