Our guest is the man who goes by the pseudonym Ed Gaffca (Executive Director of the Georgia Fired Football Coaches Association). He created the Fired Coaches of Georgia (@FiredCoaches) viral X/Twitter account, now a premier voice and hub for Georgia high school football culture. Self-described as "The Unofficial Coaches Office of HS Football," the account blends coaching satire, inside-joke meme humor, and authentic football commentary with fast-breaking news. The account channels the raw, unfiltered conversations coaches normally hold behind closed doors. He covers coaching carousel rumors, job openings, player transfers, playoff projections, and statewide gridiron drama.
It started as a satire account and quickly turned into a legitimate news outlet. It gained major mainstream credibility after breaking major high school coaching news ahead of legacy media outlets. The account broke the story that Josh Niblett was leaving Gainesville HS for Colorado.
In addition to its high-volume X feed, the brand hosts X Spaces, including a Friday night scoreboard show, and the SUN Coaches Podcast.

Back in 2009, we were trailing 14-9 in a big regional match-up with less than a minute to play.
Our opponents were taking a knee to run out the clock. On the last play of the game, as their QB took the snap and the horn sounded, he did not take a knee. He simply dropped the ball and started celebrating with his team. One of our players alertly scooped up the ball and sprinted to the end zone. One of the refs even ran down the field with our player and signaled a TD. Now, we started celebrating. The Referee (white hat) said the game was over and the other team had won.
As the officials started jogging off the field, I chased after them to ask for an explanation. I heard the other officials tell the white hat he was wrong. I also heard him say, "I am not having a game end that way."
Of course, we appealed the decision and thought we had a decent chance since it was the last play and it was only a matter of when the game was actually over. The state association said we were right and it was the wrong call, but they would not overturn the decision.
What got us was when the white hat said he blew his whistle. No one heard a whistle, and neither team's game film (with audio) had a whistle being blown. Not even the other officials heard a whistle. They even said, "What do you want us to do, make them drive back to your place for one untimed down?"
Our response was, "YES!"
That's when they said, "We are sorry this happened, but we are not doing that." And just like that, the matter was over.
The officials' association even disciplined the white hat. He stood in front of their board and said that if it happened again, he would make the same call. They suspended him, and as far as I know, he has never officiated again.
My point is, no matter how egregious a call is, they won't overturn it. Our state association's executive director agreed with us and apologized, but refused to overturn an obviously wrong call, even though it was on the last play of the game.
Our team kept on playing and went on to have a winning season and make the playoffs.
All of our coaches kept on coaching.
The school kept on having classes.
The sun came up the next day.
The world kept on spinning.
If losing an athletic competition on a bad call is the worst thing that ever happens to you, then you have had a good life.

You've probably gotten three different answers on this from three different people.
Here's mine.
The International Society of Sports Nutrition, the group that reviews all of this research, says creatine is safe for teen athletes as long as a few things are in place. Their words, not mine.
The adult research is huge. Hundreds of studies, some running five years, and the only side effect that consistently shows up is weight gain. The kidney and liver stuff you've heard came from a handful of old case reports that better studies haven't backed up.
In teens there's less research, and I'll be straight about that. The studies done on teen athletes were looking at performance, not safety. The studies that tracked blood work closely were mostly in kids with medical conditions, taking way more than a teen athlete would, for years at a time. Nothing showed up in either group.
So nobody has run the study that would settle it. But nothing has turned up anywhere anyone has looked.
I'm on board with athletes taking it IF:
1️⃣ They're past puberty and training seriously
2️⃣ The food is already handled. Eating every 3-4 hours, protein at every meal and snack, carbs around training, sleeping enough.
3️⃣ They'll actually stick to 3-5 grams a day instead of thinking more is better
4️⃣ It's a brand that's third party tested. Look for NSF Certified for Sport or Informed Sport on the label.
Remember, you can't out-supplement a diet.
Creatine adds to a foundation. It doesn't build one.
Food first. Always.
