The record they are running on is not quiet! 📌Border •DHS reports 16 straight months of zero releases at the southwest border. •August 2026 Border Patrol southwest apprehensions: 8,870. •That is 94% below the Biden monthly average and 97% below the December 2023 peak. •FY2026 southwest apprehensions through August: about 89,760 — on pace for the lowest annual total since the 1960s. •Catch and release ended. Daily encounters collapsed from the thousands to the hundreds. 📌Interior enforcement •Homan in May 2026: roughly 641,000 arrests by ICE and federal partners in 16 months. •More than 800,000 removed from the United States in that same window, per Homan. •FY2026 through mid-July: 356,389 ICE removals. •June 2026: highest monthly ICE book-ins in the history of the agency, about 43,000. •Homan says July and August then broke those records again. •ICE officer ranks grew from about 21,000 to about 29,000. •Detention population about 67,000 as of August 2026, with capacity pushed toward 80,700. •FY2025: 166,319 removals of aliens with criminal convictions or pending charges. •FY2026 through August 11: 215,447 of the same. 📌Operations •Operation Midway Blitz in Chicago: thousands detained, thousands removed. •Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis: Homan took command after the January 2026 confrontations; thousands of arrests. •New York: Homan approved the largest ICE deployment the city has ever seen after Albany limited jail cooperation. •287(g) partnerships expanded wherever states and sheriffs will work with ICE. •Homan’s line to sanctuary politicians: we’re going to do the job with you or without you. 📌Capacity •Reconciliation funding for more agents, more beds, and more wall money. •Homan’s phrase once the agency was fully funded: “deportation-maxxing.” •Still more than 2.1 million people on the ICE non-detained docket with final orders of removal. 📌Tom Homan’s résumé: •Upstate New York kid.
