Today would have been Loki’s 17th birthday.
From the day we found him in that storm box, he became our heart, our shadow, our shotgun rider, and our Lugnut. Sixteen years still wasn’t long enough, but we are so thankful for every truck ride, every look, every pffft, every nite-nite nummy, and every single memory he gave us.
Happy Birthday in Heaven, our sweet boy. Until we can hold you again, we’ll keep loving you from here. 💙🐾
Loki aka Granny’s Lugnut
June 26, 2009 to May 22, 2025🐾💙
Well, this is a whole new level of clueless! 😂
Charlie Kirk is sitting there quietly, not saying a single word, while this woman repeatedly accuses him of interrupting her. Apparently, even silence is considered an interruption when someone doesn't like what you have to say!
She's so busy arguing about being interrupted that she doesn't seem to notice she's the only one talking. And Charlie's facial expressions say more than words ever could!
Sometimes the best response to nonsense is simply to sit back, stay quiet, and let someone make your point for you.
Charlie's patience was absolutely off the charts! His calm demeanor, incredible patience, and ability to stand firm without losing his composure are just a few of the many reasons Charlie will always be remembered.
We miss you, Charlie. Gone but never forgotten. ❤️🇺🇸

The future of this country is in your hands. Make the right choice.
One election can decide whether we keep the country we were handed or hand our children something smaller. Vote like it matters, because it does.

Governor Pritzker, you want to blame President Trump for rising gas prices, but what about the taxes Illinois families are paying every time they fill their tanks? @GovPritzker, when will you address that burden?
Under your administration, Illinois doubled its state gasoline tax in 2019, and it has continued to climb. Every trip to the gas station takes another bite out of household budgets that are already stretched thin.
Families living on fixed incomes are especially feeling the squeeze. Between property taxes, groceries, utilities, and gasoline, we're struggling just to make ends meet. Every dollar matters, Governor!
You talk about Americans suffering, but Illinois families are suffering right here under your administration. Instead of constantly pointing fingers at Washington, why not address the tax burden your own state government places on hardworking families?
Accountability starts at home, Governor Pritzker! 🇺🇸

Looks like the elephant has traded political debates for a golf club, but don't let those sunglasses fool you! He's got his sights set on Washington, and he's ready to take one mighty swing for America! ⛳🐘🇺🇸
Armed with his USA cap, a powerful swing, and plenty of American spirit, he's taking aim at empty promises, reckless spending, and politicians who've forgotten who they work for.
Because when common sense steps up to the tee, there's no telling how far the truth will fly!
Washington, you might want to duck...
FORE!!! 😂🐘🇺🇸

SENATOR LISA MURKOWSKI IS A FAKE REPUBLICAN.
She votes with the Democrats more than she votes with Republicans. She stabbed President Trump in the back twice, sided with the radical left on key issues, and pretends to be conservative when it suits her. Alaska deserves a real Republican, not a RINO who enables the Democrats.

Hillary said Trump has… “held Republicans hostage for more than a decade.” 😂🤣
Biatch PLEASE!
Trump rescued us from a century of being held hostage by the RINOS and Leftists like you who thought they could usher in communism to cement their power one policy at a time.
Trump effed up your plan and we’ll never go back to the dark days of your tyrannical rule.
We won’t shut up.
We won’t surrender.
And we’ll never submit.
So take your “hostage” propaganda and shove it right where your husband likes to put his cigars.

A Bermuda native allegedly voted in 12 general elections going all the way back to 2000. That's a quarter century of canceling out legal votes.

One photograph helped turn Bonnie Parker from a little-known young woman into one of the most recognizable figures of America’s criminal past.
Taken in 1933 and recovered by police after a shootout in Joplin, Missouri, the image shows her leaning against a stolen Ford, a cigar in her mouth and a revolver in her hand. The pose was deliberate.
It rejected the restrained image expected of women in the early 1930s and gave newspapers a striking face for a story that was already spreading.
Behind the picture was a short, violent period. During the Depression, Parker traveled with Clyde Barrow and the gang associated with him.
Their movements involved stolen cars, armed robberies, and repeated escapes from law enforcement. As officers pursued them across state lines, papers followed the reports and turned the couple into national headlines.
When the photographs from the Joplin apartment were developed and published, public attention sharpened further. The cigar, the gun, and the car became lasting symbols.
The growing legend often pushed the consequences aside: the people who were robbed or killed, the families left behind, and the communities that lived with the threat.
Parker was neither simply the glamorous outlaw later portrayed in films nor merely a face in an old photograph. She was a real person whose choices became part of a deadly chapter in American history.
On May 23, 1934, Parker and Barrow were killed in a law-enforcement ambush in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. Their lives ended that day.
The story continued through books, films, and repeated retellings. Nearly a century later, the photograph still draws attention.
Its power lies partly in what it cannot show: the full weight of the choices behind the pose, and the distance between the image and the reality it helped create.

Carol Burnett was 68 when she buried her eldest daughter. Carrie Louise Hamilton died on January 20, 2002, at 38, of pneumonia that followed lung cancer which had already reached her brain.
The woman who had spent decades making millions laugh found herself unable to face the morning. Grief did not arrive as a stranger. It arrived carrying the same familiar luggage—alcoholism, poverty, fractured hopes, and a love that had always been real and never simple.
Burnett was born in San Antonio on April 26, 1933, to Joseph Thomas “Jody” Burnett, a movie-theater manager, and Ina Louise Creighton, a publicity writer.
Both parents drank. After they separated, Carol and her younger half-sister Chrissie were raised mainly by their maternal grandmother, Mabel “Mae” White, in a cramped Hollywood boarding-house apartment.
Money was so scarce that someone might arrive with a chicken to fry, or clothes might arrive already worn by someone else.
Down the hall, adults fought over liquor and unpaid bills. In that one-room world, the girl who would become a star practiced drawing perfect families that did not exist outside her imagination.
Both parents died young of alcoholism—her father in 1954 at 47, her mother a few years later at 46. Carol, still a teenager, became responsible for Chrissie.
The same girl who had lived on hand-me-downs reached Broadway in 1959 in Once Upon a Mattress. By 1967 The Carol Burnett Show had made her a household name.
Viewers saw the ear tug that said hello to Nanny, the Tarzan yell she had taught herself as a child, the open-mouthed laughter. They did not see the weight she carried from the boarding-house years.
In 1963 she married producer Joe Hamilton. They had three daughters: Carrie, born December 5, 1963; then Jody and Erin. Carrie was creative, bright, and, by her teenage years, caught in addiction.
Burnett has spoken of that period without softening it. She put Carrie into treatment before she turned 18, during a stretch of years Carrie later called hell—years when her daughter hated her for doing the only thing a mother could do.
It was not the television version of motherhood. It was love that chose the painful step first and then waited years to be understood. Carrie eventually got clean. She became an actress, writer, singer, and playwright.
Mother and daughter later worked together adapting Burnett’s memoir One More Time into the play Hollywood Arms, drawn directly from the childhood poverty and the women who had raised her.
In August 2001 Carrie was diagnosed with lung cancer. It spread to her brain. Five months later, cancer-related pneumonia took her. Burnett had already buried both parents.
Now she was burying a daughter. She did not pretend the grief was graceful. She has said she did not want to get out of bed. Her husband told her she owed it to Carrie and to the director Hal Prince to finish what they had started.
She went to Chicago for the play her daughter would never see.
In the hotel room, birds-of-paradise flowers waited—the same flower Carrie had tattooed on her shoulder. A bottle of champagne arrived labeled “Louise,” Carrie’s middle name and the name of Burnett’s own mother.
On opening night it rained. Burnett has said she and Carrie always loved the rain, and she felt her daughter near.
What stayed with her most was Carrie’s fierce way of living. A person lives on, Burnett has reflected, in the people they touch, in the inspiration they give, in the way they alter someone else’s plan even for a moment—get them to think, rage, cry, laugh, argue, or walk around the block dazed.
She has said she never got over Carrie. She learned to breathe around the empty space. Some hearts keep laughing because stopping would hurt too much. 🌹
