I’m excited to share that I passed my fall classes, celebrated my 40th birthday yesterday, and all my paperwork is in to be eligible to play JUCO baseball! ⚾️
It’s incredible to think that just 10 years ago, I started playing in an over 30 league after a lifelong journey with basketball. I’ve got nothing left to prove, but my love for baseball and being a teammate drives me to keep playing. This sport isn’t just a game for me; it helps me stay focused on my academics as I pursue another degree in psychology and philosophy.
At the end of this journey, I know I’ll be a better person—not just for myself, but for everyone who believes in me and supports my ideas. This isn’t just for me; it’s for all of you who have been part of my journey.
Here’s to new beginnings, teamwork, and the pursuit of knowledge! Let’s go! 💪🏾🖤💙💛⚾️

Cooper Kupp's mindset is a blueprint for the inner game of performance.
“From Monday through Saturday, I do everything I can to be the best version of myself…Once I step on the field, it doesn’t matter. The results don’t matter. I get to play from victory, not for victory.”
You can’t play free until you’ve done the work.
Preparation builds confidence. Detachment unlocks freedom.
When you combine the two, you perform from a place of peace, not pressure.

Great coaches tell the truth. Great players learn to face it.
Failure gives you a choice:
Defend it.
Blame it.
Avoid it.
Or own it, learn from it, and get better. Great teams don’t run from the truth. They grow from it.

John Harbaugh on helping each person pursue their dreams while bringing everyone together.
“I was thinking there's no "I" in team. Actually, there is. There are 53 I’s on this team...They all have dreams and hopes and ambitions...I want every dream you have. I want to help you make that dream come true.”
You don't build a team culture by asking people to abandon their individuality, nor their ambitions.
It’s built by meeting people where they are, caring about what/who they hope to become, and aligning those aspirations around something meaningful they can pursue together.
People shouldn't have to choose between pursuing their own growth and contributing to something bigger.
Great coaches help them do both.

Had a fun first day of the Fallen Heroes wood bat tournament today in Hagerstown Maryland! My team battled but we went 0-2 today but looking to battle back tomorrow. I ended up going 1-2 with a line drive single and 3 walks!

RECORD BROKEN. Launches one over the batters eye to break the all-time MIAA home run record.
32nd career homer and 15th 💣 on the season for the @umbcbaseball commit. Unreal power.

Freshman season on JV is almost over. I’m very proud of my performances in the field and at the plate this season. I’m very happy to say I led the team in batting average and RBIs. I would like to say thank you to my coaches and my teammates.

You serious about ⚾️?
You better be stacking up your commitment hours!
The daily lifts
The extra BP
The endless ground balls
The grueling speed work
Those hours all add up and show how committed you really are!
