Achievement Unlocked: 2,000 apes welcomed since we started Welcome Apes on 2/12/24. 🤯 🦍 Pretty incredible to think about. When we started this, the idea was simple. Nobody should join the bored ape yacht club and feel like they're standing in an empty room. If someone decides to become an ape, the least we can do is open the door, say hello, and make them feel like they belong. One thing we've really noticed lately is that the people finding their way into the club seem a little different. A lot of these folks have been around Web3 for years. They've lived through the cycles, the rugs, the hype, the disappointments, and everything else this crazy space has thrown at us. And after all of that, they're choosing to be here. We think that says something pretty powerful about what this club has become. In a space where so much is temporary, transactional, and everyone seems to be chasing the next big thing, there's something genuinely special about people finding their way here because they want to be part of something bigger than themselves. We've always believed that the real value of this club is its people. The friendships, the camaraderie, the willingness to show up for one another. That's the stuff that survives the cycles. To everyone who's taken a few moments out of their day to welcome a new ape, strike up a conversation, or make a complete stranger feel like they're already part of the family, thank you. That's what this whole thing has always been about. 2,000 welcomes later, we believe in that simple idea more than ever. The club isn't just part of the journey. The club is the destination.
