My dad got a Ring doorbell three months ago and it has completely ruined his brain. He doesn't use it for home security. He uses it to stalk the local raccoons. He realized the two-way audio works even when he's at work, so now whenever the camera detects motion at night, he opens the app and starts aggressively negotiating with them through the speaker. Last night I stayed over at my parents' house and heard this faint, raspy demonic voice coming from the porch at 3:15 AM saying "I see you with the apple core, Bradley. Put it down. We talked about this." I looked out the window and there is a massive raccoon frozen in the spotlight just staring into the camera lens like an indicted mob boss. Apparently Bradley has been coming back every night for six weeks just to listen to my dad yell at him. My mom says they have an understanding now.
