📢📢📢 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS
On Saturday 6th September 2025, I landed in Kigali, Rwanda to start a new journey at African School of Governance, [@ASG_Africa ] where I was delighted to have been awarded a fully funded Masters Scholarship in Public Administration.
Grateful to the Julius Nyerere Leadership Centre [@TheJNLC] a family I have been part of since 2023 for nominating me for this opportunity.

Today at ASG, staff and students wore a touch of pink to mark #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, joining a wider conversation on breast cancer, early detection and access to care.
Dr. Jean de Dieu Hategekimana of the @RBCRwanda led a session on breast cancer risk factors, its burden across Africa, and Rwanda’s response, from community awareness to specialised care.
The day also included breast cancer screening for staff and students, alongside a blood donation drive.

Our two Master of Public Administration cohorts spent the day at the Imbuto Hub by @imbutofoundation, stepping away from the classroom for shared activities, fun games, and a football face-off.
A change of scenery, a little competition, and a chance to get to know each other beyond the lecture hall.

This week, we welcomed new voices to campus as our student clubs got back in action, bringing fresh perspectives on business, governance and the future of Africa.
🔹 @UmutoniNadine , Rwanda’s Chief Gender Monitor, joined us for a guest lecture to explore gender equity and inclusive policy design. One reminder stood out: “Gender blind policies are not gender neutral.”
🔹 The African Strategic Foresight Forum (ASFF) at ASG officially launched Foresight Thursdays, a new weekly session where students can explore and put strategic foresight into practice, looking beyond today to the possibilities of tomorrow.
🔹 Our MPA Pioneers welcomed @Felicienus, Deputy CEO of the @GovernanceRw, for a lecture on Planning, Service Delivery and Local Government Capability, exploring how homegrown solutions can drive "Imihigo"(performance contracts) implementation.
🔹 ASG signed a five-year MoU with @RwandaOmbudsman to provide MPA students with six-week Work-Integrated Learning placements, strengthening their practical exposure to ethical governance.

The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has upgraded the parking payment system at Entebbe International Airport, introducing AI powered number plate recognition and flexible digital payment options aimed at reducing delays and congestion at the airport’s entry and exit points.
The upgrade is expected to improve the efficiency of the parking system, particularly during peak travel periods, by automating vehicle identification and allowing motorists to make payments through mobile money and other digital platforms.
