There is a lot I've never talked about publicly. I'm grateful for the journey, and for getting to live through all of it and learn from it this early. It shaped who I am now and it prepared me for what comes next.
SK Hynix is up nearly 14% in two sessions. Iβm still bullish, but Iβm not chasing it here.
Instead, Iβd put on a 24h Print Long about 3% below the mark at 5Γ. If it keeps running, I take the yield and stay out. If it cools into my level by the checkpoint, I get the entry I wanted.
Iβd run it for one cycle and reassess the risk.
If you trade options, this is similar to selling a one-day put a few percent out of the money. The yield is the premium, my target is the strike and the checkpoint acts like expiry. An intraday wick through the strike doesnβt count. If it finishes at or below my target, Iβm effectively assigned into a 5x long perp position at the strike.
I like the setup because of the volatility. Print pays more when the market is moving, and 5Γ increases the payout by increasing the notional. Right now thatβs about $101 a day on $3,231 of margin.
The obvious miss is that SK Hynix keeps running and I finish with one day of yield but no long exposure. The real risk is a hard move through my target. A close 5% below it would put me down roughly 25% of my margin, and liquidation sits about 16% below the target. SK Hynix has had sessions bigger than that this month, so downside vol is the number Iβm watching into the checkpoint, and if it picks up I wonβt put on another cycle.

We have had hotkeys since last year, but in case you missed it, here's a short tutorial
One of the hardest parts of living through FTX was opening my phone and reading stories about something I was experiencing in real time, and finding that the version in the news often looked very different from what I was seeing.
I used to assume a respected publication had done the work and gotten the facts right. Seeing that gap firsthand made me realize publications have their own incentives. They depend on access and relationships, they need clicks, and once everyone settles on a version of a story, thereβs rarely much reason for anyone to go back and question it.
There are plenty of careful journalists, but a big name doesnβt guarantee youβre getting the whole story. I still read the news, just with a lot more questions than I used to.

Build a killer product β turn it into infrastructure β let others build on top
The real magic is when your product becomes the starting point for someone elseβs ambition.
Glad to have the opportunity to share my story
Some conversations stay with me long after I finish the reporting. My exclusive interview with former FTX COO Constance Wang @ConstanceWaing was one of them.
What moved me was hearing about the young people behind FTX: hardworking, ambitious, full of dreams. People who believed deeply in @SBF_FTX Sam Bankman-Fried and the mission he promised - and were devastated by the betrayal.
One detail Constance shared with me touched me a lot - during the collapse, with the office locked and much of the senior leadership gone from the Bahamas, employees began gathering at her home because they needed somewhere safe to be together. She provided food, drinks and whatever updates she could, trying to hold everyone together while struggling to understand what had happened herself.
Imagine spending years building something you believe in, only to lose your savings, your work and your sense of whom you can trust.
I can understand why she finds the framing of that experience as a βtoxic love storyβ so upsetting. There are so many other lives in this story that deserve to be heard.
I also keep thinking about what FTX might have become with honest leadership and financial discipline. Could it still be a major player today? Perhaps even a public company and one of the biggest crypto exchange that might rival @binance? Given its investment in @AnthropicAI, it could have had huge potential, but weβll never know now.
Customersβ money was never SBFβs to gamble with or use to rescue Alameda. Protecting that boundary is a basic responsibility.
The mindset that βitβs only a scam if you get caughtβ is toxic. Integrity matters even when nobody is watchingβand no promise of changing the world excuses betraying the people who trust you.
Constance struck me as driven and down-to-earth. After devastating personal losses, she is building again. What touched me was her gratitude for something easily taken for granted: she has her freedom, and the chance to start over.
Thank you, Constance, for trusting me with this exclusive interview and sharing such painful memories. Wishing you and your team at @pacifica_fi the very best as you build your next chapter.

Never seen Marina Bay look like this. PSI hit 227 today, the worst since 2015, and Singaporeβs air has been unhealthy 12 days straight. Yesterdayβs rain came down so dirty people were posting buckets of black water.
Sad for Singapore :(
Got a DM from someone claiming to be at @TechCrunch, asking to interview me for their annual AI feature. Honestly, it was a solid pitch. Sheβd clearly done her homework on Pacifica.
Then came the Calendly link, which asked me to authorize access to my X account before booking anything. I closed it right away.
I asked for a normal calendar invite. She said their scheduling only works through X; asked for a Google Meet link, same answer.
This looks a lot like the scam where you authorize an app and your account gets taken over.
Anyone else seen this one? And can anyone at TechCrunch confirm whether the outreach is real?
