Launched as a side project in January 2026, OpenClaw rapidly climbed past both Linux and React to become the most-starred repository of all time on GitHub.
Electricity demand is rising at its fastest pace in a generation.
Building a fully electrified economy will require more than quadrupling current power generation capacity, and that figure still excludes the additional demand expected from the next wave of AI
The appeal of tech companies as investments lies in technology’s ability to generate greater returns as businesses scale. From working closely with these success stories, we’ve learned that this potential becomes reality because of the founders who make it happen
According to Sensor Tower, Kimi app downloads have surged nearly fivefold, while daily active users have grown by around 40%, showing that the excitement surrounding K3 is driving substantial real-world user growth.
Call center employment grew by roughly 4% each year for 15 years, but the trend has reversed, with jobs now declining at the same annual rate.
Humans may be cheaper than AI tokens on average, but at scale, high-quality tokens can offer greater cost efficiency. For most companies, AI agents cost around $80 per hour, comparable to a software engineer, costs can range from as little as $4 to as much as $7,000 per hour.
Companies that once mined crypto are now capitalizing on the AI boom, turning their access to power, data centers, and GPUs into highly valuable assets. CoreWeave is already generating more revenue than Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud did at the same stage.
Cybersecurity is facing a major surge
Across 21 leading software companies, including Apple, AWS, Microsoft, and Google, reported critical vulnerabilities stayed below 100 per month for four years—before suddenly climbing past 600 monthly since spring.
Challenging the narrative: Gen Z earns 20–40% more than millennials did at the same age a decade ago, even after adjusting for inflation, across every income level.
The 80/20 rule in action: A small share of customers drives most B2B revenue, making a few key buyers critical to business success. Stuut uses AI agents to help businesses recover outstanding payments.
The time to fix software vulnerabilities is shrinking rapidly. Nearly 87% of exploited flaws are now targeted on or before public disclosure, up from just 23% in 2020.
AI costs have dropped in just three years as dramatically as PC prices did over 15,
Affordable intelligence is enabling models to become part of the software people use to get work done.
As AI becomes cheaper, demand for its use grows, embedding models into nearly every software application.
Compute scarcity, in one chart
As GPU scarcity rises, older models are becoming increasingly valuable assets.
Venture exposure and venture returns are hardly the same sport:
- The top 1% of VC investors account for 57% of the industry's net profits
- The top 5% take 90%, and the other 95% split what's left

ElevenLabs co-founder and CEO Mati Staniszewski on the company's origin story, which starts with the poorly-dubbed Polish movies he grew up watching:
"I was at Palantir, so I was helping build optimization models and bringing them to the customers. And my co-founder was at Google, and he did a lot of the text models for knowledge graphs."
"He's the smartest person I know for developing a lot of the research work, and I was happily on that intersection of building the product and bringing that to the customers."
"When we started, that was the whole goal, can we combine research and product deployment under one hood?"
"We started with audio. The actual trigger point comes from where you're from, from Poland. If you watch a movie in Polish... you have one voice narrating the whole movie. All the emotional intonation disappears."
"Everybody in Poland grows up with it. One person dubbing. And then in 2021, we experienced this still happening... The quality is poor. It's a pretty terrible experience."
"In the future, that experience will be completely different. You will have original voice, original emotions, original intonation."
"Just a week ago, we released finally a model that is able to do that extremely well and finally bring the content from one language to another."

Marc Andreessen: “I’m always urging founders to raise prices, raise prices, raise prices.”
The a16z co-founder says they spend real time on pricing with their companies, and that most founders treat it as an afterthought.
His first principle is to price on value, not on cost. Selling to businesses? Take a cut of the value you create for them.
Say you've built an AI that does the work of a programmer, a lawyer or a radiologist. Charge a share of the salary you replaced. Or make a doctor far more productive and charge a share of the lift.
Then the counterintuitive part. Cheap isn't automatically kind to the buyer. A vendor with margin can hire, ship and improve faster, and most people want the thing that works rather than the thing that costs least.
A price rise also tells you whether the moat is real. If customers stay, it was, because a moat is just the ability to charge more.
Higher prices then fund distribution and research, which is how you outgrow everybody.
Engineers hate this. They price like they're selling rice.
