#bbclaurak Laura’s line of questioning to Healy: Why haven’t you made the necessary cuts in public spending ? Why are you not spending more money on defense and compensation? Schizoid journalism.

Italians refuse to stay silent and sit idle in the face of a genocide and the normalisation of war. The global awakening has started and so the peaceful uprising against the globalisation of Apartheid. Together we are ONE, standing for peace, human rights & love for one another.

🇮🇹 Tens of thousands of workers, students, truckers and farmers marched in more than 40 Italian cities on Friday in a general strike against soaring living costs, rearmament and European support for wars in the Middle East, including the genocide in Gaza, according to Italian news agency Adnkronos. Police counted 30,000 in Milan, where marchers shut down the eastern ring road for three hours, while organizers claimed over 100,000, according to Italian broadcaster TGCom24. A speaker in Turin put the crowd there at more than 50,000. The grassroots union USB, which called the strike, claimed 2 million nationwide showed up to challenge Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's "war economy." Protesters blocked the port in Genoa with burning tires, TGCom24 reported, and marched into Naples port, demanding that ports not be used to move "weapons, ammunition, military equipment and troops." In Rome, police charged about 300 students who threw stones and Molotov cocktails. At least 10 officers were injured in Mestre and Vicenza, according to Adnkronos. Transport Minister Matteo Salvini had ordered rail, air, sea and transit workers to stay on the job, but the order was dismissed by USB as "illegitimate." 🎥 Milan

#r4today Promising Ukraine NATO membership, 2008, despite warnings of conflict with Russia was reckless statecraft. Putin owns the decision to invade. Western leaders must answer for their own decisions. Russia reacting to NATO expansionism is lost in reporting the war.

Awakening. Knowledge is power. Lets use it. Not as an act of charity toward the Palestinians - rather, as an act of self-preservation toward us and the rule of law. #PalestineEffect
American-Dutch writer and Pulitzer Prize winner Benjamin Moser speaks out on Zionism: "The more I studied Zionism, the more I spent time there, the more I realized that every inch of Israel is Palestine. It was always Palestine."

"When the Chancellor talks about difficult choices, why are they always difficult choices for migrants, for disabled people, and for young people? It's time to tax the rich." - Zack Polanski speaks at the March Against Austerity ahead of the Budget.

#r4today Nigel Lawson aligned capital gains and income tax in 1988. Healey refused. While citizens struggle with bills, Labour preserves lower tax rates on asset gains than on wages. The Labour government choosing to sustain inequality. Burnham’s BS rhetoric.

#r4today Fuhrer Farage, 🥸the special man of destiny- claiming Brexit would not have happened if he had not been born! And he continues to think it’s been a good thing. A delusional crypto PoundLand Trump.

#bbcpm Burnham said he wants a conversation re EU free movement. Can’t help thinking BBC editors are ignoring: Israeli elections; US mid terms; revolution in France; socialist governing Serbia, etc. You do not have a finger on the pulse.

It is beyond ridiculous that this man is still a life peer and retains the Labour whip.
Nobody wants to buy a service they can’t walk away from. Palantir’s critics have long claimed we ‘lock in’ our customers. We don’t. This short film explains why. It’s the first in a series on the gap between the rhetoric about Palantir and the work we actually do.

#bbclaurak So, there’s the elections in Israel and the destructive response by the IDF since two of its soldiers were shot. There’s the US midterms and the UK budget. Laura’s leading story : The PM wants us to have a conversation re free EU movement. I switched off.

#newsnight Streeting going for perpetual war narrative. Ukraine/Russian war caused by membership of NATO/EU dangled before Ukraine. Basically NATO expansionism. Is Wes being a drama queen?

Jackdaw won't bring down energy bills. Everyone knows it - even the Energy Secretary. So why is the Prime Minister suggesting it will?

The good news for Labour is they've finally found someone who thinks Jackdaw is a good idea. The bad news? It's Donald Trump.

#politicslive Interesting how Poiltics Live and Kuenssberg yesterday both had Jewish panelists who were offended by the Green Party’s stance on Zionism. There are many Jews who oppose Zionism as implemented by an apartheid murderous Netanyahu government. BBC, give them a voice!
