28th APRIL, 2026, Pharos launched Mainnet and one of the key takeaways was that ⬇️⬇️, Staking Rewards weren’t going to be turned on just yet and we all know and have seen several other networks hand out rewards just to pump their numbers but we know, Pharos has always been unique so the network was allowed to grow organically. Currently with 31 validators and 116 million pharos-network:native staked . The growth has been undeniable, RealFi wise, meetups, meetings,campaigns, vaults, you name it. Now, Month 7 after TGE, Staking rewards are being turned on (5% a year), with @Farooxyz . And Faroo (through stPROS) has simplified this staking thing such that, simply put; • You give them pharos-network:native 💵 • You get stPROS (a liquid token that represents your staked position) 💹 • Your PROS goes to work securing the network and earning the rewards 📈 • Then, instead of your stPROS balance increasing every day, the value of each stPROS slowly goes up as the rewards come in (exchange rate model) 💸. Pharos is a Proof of Stake (PoS) chain. As such, validators run the network and secure it. Regular people can also help by staking (or delegating) their PROS to those validators 🤝. For the first 6 months after mainnet, 0% new PROS was issued as staking rewards but now that we’re in Month 7, new $PROS at 5% per year is being issued out to reward the people who are staking 🏦. Also ℹ️, Your personal reward depends on a few things: • How much of the total staked PROS you own, • The commission the validator you chose takes, • Overall network participation (how many people are staking). FURTHERMORE, There’s also the normal way (and Anvita Mate coming later) where you stake directly and the rewards just come to you. I don’t want to look for you when it’s time to participate 🫵🏽🌊
