I’m not diagnosed with ADHD but my diagnosis has a lot of crossover. I created my own systems throughout life & didn’t seemingly struggle w/much, so it wasn’t obvious I was neurodivergent. I realized in my 30s that most of my “planning” is just systems I’ve created to function
Makes me think of the guy that wanted me to park at his place & uber w/him to dinner… I explained i wasnt comfortable. We agree to meet at the restaurant. At the restaurant, he wont go in & gets mad that I wont uber w/him into the city. I’m 95% sure he was trying to kidnap me.
OMG do you guys hate your friends? I really don’t understand. I love doing things with my friends & the things I don’t enjoy, I rarely do.
My boss is like this! She’s like “you have sick leave for a reason. Use it”.
I took off. I have so much sick leave
This! My Dad is #5 of 7. We usually hosted & although my parents did pay for a lot, all the adults (unless you brought a guest) contributed. I’m from Ga. Our holidays were easily 50 ppl. Ppl gotta bffr
No shade I can tell a lot of y’all parents was teenagers when they had you. But as the child of boomers, and the grandchild of the silent generation… if you weren’t directly putting money in somebody’s hand (which I can say, I did not see a lot of) you was going to the store and showing up at grandma’s house with the groceries/supplies that she or someone else asked you to bring. OR you were contributing to the meal and showing up with a couple pans of what you made. My dad has like 7 brothers and sisters, and his mama had like 12. We’re black Californians by way of Louisiana, and no one ever expected my grandmother to foot the entire bill and cook an entire Thanksgiving meal for that many niggas, please.
Same. My Dad invited the entire church on family vacations 😂 we hosted pool parties on most summer holidays. My cousins were there almost every weekend. In high school, my friends would eat dinner at the table w/us. Friends moved in w/us when in unsafe situations.
