RIP Patrick Stewart. What an actor. I still can’t believe he agreed to do this scene. And he didn’t even mind when I ruined every take. Legend.

On 31st January 1945, British Commandos, including men of 42 and 44 Royal Marine Commandos, fought one of the fiercest battles of the Burma Campaign at Hill 170, near Kangaw 🇬🇧
Japanese forces launched repeated assaults in a desperate attempt to retake the strategically important hill. In places, the Commandos faced overwhelming odds, with fighting descending into brutal hand-to-hand combat involving bayonets, grenades and machine guns.
Despite relentless attacks and heavy casualties, the Commandos refused to surrender their position. Hundreds of Japanese soldiers were killed, and Hill 170 remained in British hands.
A hard-fought victory against a determined enemy, and another proud chapter in the fighting history of the Royal Marines 🇬🇧
Terry's first time using his Neuralink implant to communicate through his thoughts is absolutely incredible
Terry was diagnosed with ALS in 2024, a disease that has progressively affected his ability to speak
Now, Neuralink is translating his intended speech directly from brain signals into words, with Grok Voice recreating his own natural voice
Watching Terry's emotional reaction as he hears his words come through is such a powerful moment
This is so much bigger than technology
It's about giving people who have lost their ability to speak the opportunity to communicate, express themselves, and reconnect with the people they love
What Neuralink is building is truly life-changing

Announcing 3 Critical vulns for hundreds of millions of IoT, Firewalls, OT, and Military devices including: Palo Alto Networks, Comcast, D-Link, HP, Canon, Honeywell, GE, Oracle, Siemens, Rockwell, Digi, Lockheed Martin, Boeing...
The vulns are with GoAhead Web Server which is a backend library used by these devices. There's a patch available from GoAhead but that doesn't mean there's a patch available for the devices yet -- that's up to the manufacturer.
- TLS traffic over DHE ciphers have a 1-byte secret, "04", meaning anyone can decrypt connections to these devices and steal login credentials and session tokens if the client negotiated with DHE ciphers like the latest TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305_SHA256, which is extremely likely.
- LibreSSL mTLS has been completely bypassed, meaning anyone can connect over mTLS. If you have one of these devices listening on the internet and are expecting mTLS to protect it from attackers, take it offline or patch asap.
- OpenSSL Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) are not enforced, meaning if a user device is stolen or compromised, and you revoke that mTLS cert, nothing actually happens. There are a lot of other attacks this can be used for.
These are critical because these types of devices run our world. Water systems, electricity, military, firewalls, critical infrastructure.

Before we freed anyone, we were slaves. ⛓️🏴🇬🇧
After 1066 most of us were serfs. Owned with the land. 🏚️
1348: the Black Death killed half of us. ☠️
Suddenly our labour was worth something. ⚒️
1380: the king taxed every head. 👑
1381: the serfs marched on London. 🔥
Mile End. The Tower. The Archbishop's head. ⚔️
Smithfield. The promises torn up. 📜
But serfdom never came back. 🌱
By 1500 it was gone. 🕊️
Four hundred years later we sent a fleet to end slavery for everyone else. ⚓
Help us tell the world the TRUE story of Britain.👇

I indeed rewatched this film last night & enjoyed the heck out of it. An amazing showcase for Walter Koenig & Nichelle Nichols. And Alan Ruck reprising his “Star Trek Generations” role as Captain John Harriman pretty much steals the show—really good! Recommended.
Will probably be remembering Walter Koenig tonight w/ “Star Trek: Of Gods and Men” — a 2008 full-length fan movie co-starring Nichelle Nichols & directed by Tim Russ. (Charlie X & Gary Mitchell are the villains!) youtu.be/kFqAME7dx58?is=bAE7…

SpaceX's Raptor 3 is taking rocket engineering to an entirely different level
Compared with the legendary RS-25, Raptor 3 delivers 34% more thrust while weighing 57% less, giving it over 3× the thrust-to-weight ratio
To put it simply, SpaceX built an engine that's smaller, weighs less than half as much, and yet packs even more thrust than NASA's much larger RS-25. It's really hard to comprehend how much engineering went into achieving this
And what's even more impressive is that SpaceX achieved all of this with a radically simplified engine designed for mass production and rapid reuse
This is the engineering revolution powering Starship

AI stocks when the market opens
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
