Double tap this from @ImposeCost Folks need to focus on two things, 1, Threat actor intent. 2, Their digital footprint and their threat landscape exposure.
I'm doing the thing until I can convince people that focusing on whether or not AI is being used in intrusions is a waste of time. What will be figured out is that virtually every cyber threat is using AI, because AI these days is as generally available as the internet. Imagine back when the requirement was "threats using the internet." AI isn't an emerging threat anymore. It's the norm.

After crypto exchanges fall, banks are next. Black hat hackers are getting ready to attack them with AI swarms. In fact, they are already running live tests on banks around the world. There is no such thing as a system without flaws, and no asset is truly safe anymore. They are not just going after the money. The plan is to attack the banks and shut down the whole internet at once. Attacking is always way easier than defending. Even with AI swarms on defense, defenders have to block every single angle. Attackers just need to find one open crack. Not trying to be a doomer here. Just looking at what is already playing out in the wild.

What is the trend? This is just the cyber threat ecosystem functioning as it has for a long time. The disregard for "correlation and causation" has reached unmatched levels of ridiculousness in the AI era.
DHS hacked Polymarket hacked Binance hacked I know trends when I see them, this is a trend that’s accelerating and is incredibly concerning. Incredible work by Tether and @paoloardoino for helping to freeze the Binance hack in minutes.

The fact that the PHP vulnerability didn't immediately turn into mass chaos is only "surprising" to people who don't know anything about cybersecurity (or people trying to sell you something).

Someone doesn’t understand cyber security here…. And their name isn’t Zack! (Sorry Liron) 🤓😜🖖🦾🛡️🛡️🛡️
Debating AI Sandboxing with @ZackKorman: Zack thinks sandboxing can be part of a robust security model that also includes monitoring and other techniques. I think sandboxing AI in the physical universe is hopeless; there's no security model against ASI. What do YOU think? 👇

What in the heck is this?? Pew pew maps and AI FUD combined with a poor understanding of the cyber landscape ?? @UK_Daniel_Card
🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are hitting banks in 7 countries at the same time. This is what Covid looked like in week 1. A few countries. Small numbers. Nobody called it a crisis. 1/ South Korea: hackers used a Chinese AI tool to break into at least 7 financial firms. 68,000 people's data stolen. 16 firms breached by mid-October. This week Daishin Securities reported 38,490 customers' data leaked, bank account numbers included. 2/ Latin America: one gang ran AI agents built on Claude, Grok and Kimi against 400+ targets, banks and payment firms included. They stole passwords and got into customer bank accounts. 3/ Italy: a fake WhatsApp from "the CEO" and an AI-cloned voice got Intesa Sanpaolo's private bank to send out €95 million. €36 million is still MISSING, turned into crypto. 4/ India: small lenders lost ₹300 crore (about $31 million) in 2 months. 150 cases. Hackers copied bank logins and sent the money out as fake loans. One firm was hit twice. 5/ Crypto: $351 million drained from Bitget's hot wallets. North Korean hackers are suspected. 6/ Japan: hackers hit GMO Internet's currency trading service and demanded $50 million in crypto. The prime minister promised an emergency anti-cyberattack package. 7/ Australia: the regulator warns AI attacks put more than A$4.5 trillion in retirement savings in the firing line. Government cyber alerts jumped 80% in a year. Now zoom out. AI hacking tools are now easy to get. Smaller firms have weak security. The money moves in minutes. It jumps across banks, through rented accounts, out as cash or crypto. The bosses are often abroad. Covid locked the streets. Nobody is calling this a crisis yet. But the central banks already plan for the day the hackers get in. The G7 agreed to run drills that simulate AI attacks on banks. The ECB reportedly gave eurozone banks 4 months to hand in their defence plans. If your savings sit in a bank, hit follow. I'm tracking where the hackers strike next and how much they take.

The AFL continues to be an uneven and confusing com. The 2nd team this year, the Swans have the 11th hardest draw while GWS, Suns and Saints all missed finals and have some of the toughest Funnily enough ever other top 4 side other than Swans have a tough draw. @1116sen

Decision maker noise saturation is placing security postures at higher risk of burn out and resource drain. Stick to the fundamentals and know the threat landscape.

Two key factors at play at present for cyber security. 1, AI peddles who have figured out hype and fear = investment 2, A media who is now focused on click bait and traffic for a revenue stream The result? Overly dramatic claims by two groups who know little about the subject
