We mock the far right, but this disinformation works, sadly, and it is a tool to foment hatred and division.
The same people who believe COVID was a hoax, climate catastrophe is a hoax, trans women are assaulting people in bathrooms daily, disabled people are given free luxury cars, "boat people" are being armed to fight us, and Jews, via Soros, are organising the replacement of white people by immigrants are all being fed by this kind of fake news day after day after day, and they believe it.
