People moan at the government for the cost to living crisis yet it is business greed that has a massive impact. @AvivaUK disgraceful jacked my home insurance to £1800pa, from £700 on renewal, for a policy that sold to new customers at £540. In the bin @AvivaUK - greed.

Heard this a lot but it’s a total misunderstanding of our democracy. In a parliamentary democracy you elect your local candidate and the largest party forms the government. That party elects a leader who is PM. We do not elect the PM directly. It’s not a presidential race.
Let the country decide who we want as the next Prime Minister. Only 3 of the last 7 PMs were voted in. That's absolutely ridiculous BTW! Shambles. Election needed ASAP 🇬🇧

I wont use the phrase ‘taken too soon’ to describe the devastating passing of my dear friend of 30 years, Ian Deeley. It minimises the love, care & incredible times he gave me, his friends & family. We wanted another 30yrs but god are we grateful for the time we had. Luv u Ian xx

What’s being lost in Amorim’s sacking @ManUtd is that Dan Ashworth, the person who knows how to run, stabilise and optimise football clubs was sacked because he said Amorim’s style did not suit United’s squad. Let football people run clubs, not suites and chemical impresarios.

179 and 3500. Two numbers Pete Hesgeth needs remember when describing Europe as freeloading. This numbers describe the deaths and injuries to UK armed service personnel standing toe to toe with America in the aftermath of 9/11. Disgraceful comment.

Dan Ashworth, who achieved great success at @WBA @England @OfficialBHAFC and @NUFC got sacked in part for his want of a coach with PL experience whose philosophy fitted the characteristics of the squad. Amorim was neither. Ashworth knew his stuff @ManUtd

After banking with @Barclays for 25 years it is time we parted ways. It’s funded major fossil fuel investments and has recently greenwashed bonds as ‘sustainable finance’ when they’ve been financing fossil fuel companies. I may be inconsequential but it’s time for change.

There’s no doubt @swfc have negligence for their absolute failure to deal with this properly. An age to get medical attention. Horrific stewarding. Failure to stop the game and allow proper treatment and access. Amateur club who should know better all things considered.

I mean average rents are £15,312 a year, average mortgage on a house £17,292 a year and average salary multiplier for a mortgage is 8x. But yes. Coffee is the issue obviously. telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/09…

“There's only one way to stop Starmer trashing Brexit…” Oh my word. It’s been such a success already hasn’t it? Is this just blind ideology or do they base this on any evidential fact? telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/08…

Well with @FeverTreeMixers sponsoring Trump and the RNC - you can safely say I won’t be purchasing their products any more.

“This is a 10 or 20-year project. We’ve just started.” Said Badenoch. Sorry could someone remind me when Vote Leave told voters this? I’m sure there was mention of an immediate £350m a week for the NHS post Brexit. Pro Leave Working poor on tenter hooks for benefits in 2044 🤦🏻‍♂️

Get real. Of course most parents & private schools can absorb part of this rise. I’m tired how working poor are expected to live on 30p meals, frowned upon for buying a latte or Netflix. Yet we must sympathise for those sending kids to private school telegraph.co.uk/money/tax/pr…

I hope so. Societal wealth is hugely weighted to older generations, 65+ have 25 times the savings of those aged 25-29. Oh and 65+ have average wealth of £730k. The current triple lock outstrips wage inflation further creating disparity between you and old. We need new thinking.
When it comes to pensions, Labour are telling you a porky. Meanwhile the @Conservatives are committed to the Triple Lock - no ifs no buts.

Absolutely awesome to see @TheNickHelm in Leeds on Thursday. Its takes a special someone to be hilarious and vulnerable. So funny but he’s so right, if you’re having intrusive thought talk to someone, anyone. Help is out there.

Could @Nidderdale1894 explain their decision not to do this? If a consultation of grounds staff resulted in this, why aren’t you listening to your members?
𝗙𝗶𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 After consultation with league ground staff it was decided at Wednesday’s League Management meeting to postpone the first weekend (20th April) of the season. A statement on the rearrangements and second weekend fixtures will be made in due course.

This is said without any irony from @MichelleDewbs - the fact that GB News has literally bastardised the union flag, stylised and pivoted it for their logo is lost on her. So it’s ok to change the flag for commercial purposes of a media broadcaster but not on a football shirt? 🤔
Why do we need a “playful update” to our national flag. What’s wrong with the original?🤔 Also if you genuinely cared about “uniting and inspiring” you would have created a replica of Mary Earps’ shirt from the off, rather than needing to have been pressured into it… But hey - why spend time on that stuff, when you can instead spend it hiring biological men to model women’s sports bras and bastardising our nation flag for virtue points, because nothing truly unites like that stuff eh?🤦🏼‍♀️ 🤡🌎

This aged well
Bazbollocks has moved from batting to bowling. Absurd selection. Unbalanced. Inexperienced. At least England picked a wicketkeeper.
