The first reading at today's RC daily mass was on point, imo.
". . . For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to the resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the Gospel of peace. . . ."
Paul's Letter to the Ephesians, chapter 6.
So gird your loins and VOTE!
I decided to vote early today because of some rainy/snowy weather moving in along the Western Slope of Colorado. I used a paper ballot instead of the machine. But, the volunteers said they were expecting a huge turnout on Nov 3.
The most interesting thing though, I was asked to confirm my USA citizenship on an official form. I am thinking great. Then driving home, I realized if use a mail-in ballot there is no official citizen verification method. Wow...how convenient.
My respects,
