Meet Kathleen Pettijohn, a Lewis Bakeries heiress whose family is behind Bunny Bread.
According to the campaign finance records shown here, Pettijohn has made nearly $2 MILLION in direct political contributions across the listed 2025 and 2026 entries.
That's not stuffing a few dollars in a campaign envelope. That's playing in a completely different league.
Some highlights:
• $250,000 to the Hoosier Victory Committee
• $200,000 to Beau Bayh for Indiana
• $300,000 to Kebe for Indiana across two contributions
• $200,000 to the Committee to Elect Jessica Bailey
• $100,000 to the Indiana House Democratic Caucus
• $100,000 to IN Power PAC
• $100,000 to Ryan Kominakis for Indiana
• $200,000 to Friends of Blythe Potter in April and l.
• $50,000 to Kirsten Root
• $50,000 to the Election Committee for Victoria C. Martz

Now for the business side.
In October 2024, private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners announced a strategic investment in Lewis Brothers Bakeries, the company behind Bunny Bread, Lewis Bake Shop, Butternut and other brands.
The announcement did not disclose the purchase price or the percentage of the company acquired. The Lewis family retained an investment in the business.
