Hey, you found me.
If you like sword and sorcery, clashing steel, and harrowing escapes, then I'm your "old school dad" author. I like writing adventure with male heroes being heroic and fighting bad guys with swords.
If you like "westerns with swords" try one of these out.

Boomerbook is an echo chamber builder. That's why it is Boomerbook.

As a Christian, the response to the elections should not be "our country is doomed, these people are evil" - it should be "I'm praying for our newly elected leaders"

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises.
All Republicans had to do was:
1. put Americans First
2. not start another war
3. prosecute sex traffickers
It's funny that the Disney "canon" had the Rebellion set up an incompetent Republic that was even more dysfunctional than the prior Republic all while the attempt to rejuvenate the Jedi religion collapses in faithlessness and despair.
Just ramble-thinking while Zoomer males are in the midst of glorifying the Sith and agreeing with Rian Johnson on the Jedi here...
There's something to be said for the way Star Wars is written in different times/places reflecting the people who are writing it.
Assuming that the sithposting is not mere contrarian shitposting....
I applaud the Zoomers for understanding Lucas' prequels in ways the Boomers and Gen X didn't. They still seem to have missed the point, but just barely.
George Lucas is being rightfully (if incorrectly) appreciated by the Zoomers now.
Can't wait until they discover Frank Miller.
The problem with judging equipment without context is that one creates the wrong punching bags.
For instance, the Italian M13 is far more defensible as a concept than the Crusader or the Matilda 1 when you factor in the circumstances.

There are plenty of reasons to oppose the NDAA, and this is one of the most important. We should not be integrating the U. S. military and the military of any other country. Remove Section 1217 (formerly Section 219).
"Section 219 creates a multi-generational technological relationship with one partner that would be very difficult to rollback once incorporated into U.S. development and acquisition systems. It is a pure political maneuver with great risk to the U.S.; it is not necessary and is, in fact, dangerous."
"At this point, to protect sensitive U.S. technological development and to ensure congressional oversight is not further abdicated, the House should make clear it won’t vote for an NDAA that comes out of conference if it includes this provision, and the Senate should remove or amend its corresponding Section 1217 from the FY27 NDAA."

Never ask me who I voted for.
I never vote "down the ballot" and my answer will annoy you regardless of your politics.

The American ideal was once the man who could play football, quote Shakespeare, understand Newton, appreciate architecture, debate Aristotle, and sing in church.
Now we demand that 12-year-olds specialize in one sport and spend their adolescence building college résumés.
We used to cultivate men. Now we manufacture applicants.
Feeling cute, might start the next book soon now that my son is born, alive, and well.
I want to sink my teeth into mocking the absurdity of the French Revolution.
