Sooo great to have the team back together again!!! Kicking off summer with a writing & connecting retreat day at the best farm brewery. Kombucha & coffee on nitro as our fuel.
So grateful for a weekend writing retreat with these 4 members of my Lab. We worked hard, played hard, and laughed hard.
Our Lab is submitting 8 abstracts to the Pathways #humandimensions conference. Who else is planning to be there? Going to be a great one! Virginia Tech is co-hosting with Colorado State Univ & Assoc of Fish & Wildlife Agencies.

Getting over the final hurdle to the finish line of a paper publication can be tough. Another set of comments, esp. when new things come up, can nearly break you. But don't give up! A last round of revisions is SO much better than starting from scratch with a new submission.
So glad I made it back from travel just in time to meet @RubinoResearch after her visit to @vt_fishwild. Way to go @NaturalistKels from @fiwgsa for hosting this passionate #humandimensions researcher & educator!
Perfect end to a day of presenting about our wildlife viewing research to the leadership of @MyFWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission). We even saw a 🦩 flamingo!

Really enjoyed a visit from access-to-birding expert Freya McGregor. I love learning how an occupational therapist thinks about ensuring all birders can gain the benefits of birding & reframing disability as a strength in birding. Watch for collaborative papers coming soon!
What?! @MDPIOpenAccess has a journal entitled "Beverages", & I was invited to submit a "feature" paper free of charge. All of my knowledge in this field is based on first hand experience drinking beverages. This is madness! If anyone is still publishing with MDPI, please stop.
