May regret this, but Christians have got to learn to think in categories, and there are 2 things that are both bad and often get conflated with one another... 1) Racism, defined in actual Biblical terms (racial pride or racial malice) and not defined in the progressive literally-everything-is-a-racism sense, is a sin and is wrong. // Philippians 2:3, etc forbids conceit (for any reason) // Titus 3:3, etc forbid "malice" (for any reason) 2) Governing leaders allowing mass migration to happen in a way that is bad for the citizens they were elected to prioritize and bad for the nation they were entrusted to protect (especially when it dilutes Christian influence on the country in a way that could tipping-point-doom-spiral that nation away from societal truth and goodness via creation of voting blocs)... is not good. // In one of the least-P.C. verses in the Old Testament, Deuteronomy 28:43-44 describes mass migration leading to the ever-decreasing influence of the people of God in a nation as judgment on that nation: “The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail.” While there is obviously continuity/discontinuity between the Old and New Covenants, this does show a shape of God's judgment and there's no way to read that as anything other than negative. APPLICATION: If you look at many responses to this pic, some people are doing #1 and when confronted about it, acting like they're just doing #2. If you're calling people "jeets", don't pretend you're having a strictly policy discussion with no malice involved. Christless "conservatism" would death-spiral into the abyss, just like the already-Christless progressivism has. The center cannot hold. And often, people are doing #2 and being accused of doing #1. There's a difference between a religion and a race, and there's nothing wrong (actually, in many cases there's a *lot* wise) with not wanting certain belief systems imported into your country en masse. And (downstream of the Biblical differentiation in the roles of the individual, family, church, and state) there's not anything wrong with the citizens of a country opposing the leaders of a country allowing mass migration to happen in a way that hurts their culture, school systems, effects scholarship and job opportunity availability to citizens, etc. Christians CAN have debates about immigration policy and it not be "racist" at all... and all Christians are commanded to love and pray for the redemption of all people from every tribe, tongue, nation, and language, nailing every type of "malice" in their hearts to the Cross.

Apparently, that’s biblical. 😂❤️✝️ I was listening to the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19, and something about it hit differently. Elijah had just experienced an incredible victory with God — and then suddenly he was afraid, overwhelmed, exhausted, and running for his life. He reached a point where he basically told God, I can’t do this anymore. And I love what God did next. He didn’t shame Elijah for being tired. He didn’t demand that he immediately pull himself together. He didn’t hand him a five-step plan for fixing his entire life. He let him sleep. Then an angel woke him up, gave him food and water…and Elijah went back to sleep. 😂 The angel came again and said: “Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.” — 1 Kings 19:7 KJV Only after Elijah had rested and eaten did God begin showing him what came next. And when God revealed Himself, He wasn’t in the powerful wind. He wasn’t in the earthquake. He wasn’t in the fire. He came in a “still small voice.” I think sometimes we’re so busy looking for God to dramatically fix everything that we miss Him quietly providing exactly what we need for today. Sometimes the answer isn’t the whole map. Sometimes it’s enough strength for the next step. A little provision at exactly the right time. A person who shows up when you need them. A good day you desperately needed. A meal. A few hours of sleep. A still small voice reminding you, “I’m here.” I’m learning that faith doesn’t always mean knowing how the story turns out. Sometimes faith is eating the bread, drinking the water, getting some rest, and trusting that God already knows where the journey goes from here. So if you’re exhausted and don’t have everything figured out today: Eat something. Get some rest. Listen for the still small voice. And take the next step when God gives you the strength to take it. Apparently even prophets occasionally needed a nap before dealing with their problems. 😂 God is still working in the quiet. ❤️✝️
