Also this has never happened with eelgrass seed collection but I can now say I’ve swam with sharks (and rays!)…

This video is great in discussing the evidence of why making sure kids who are ready have access to accelerated math is so important. Excellent job @VDOE_News ! youtube.com/watch?v=s2eF2Cvx…

Thank you to the @VDOE_News for issuing the excellent videos explaining the importance to Virginia families of accelerated math for kids who are ready. youtube.com/watch?v=UNwpNBfl… @DelegateCallsen
Thank you to everyone who showed up! We had a rep from the Virginia Dept. of the Treasury on hand processing unclaimed property for folks (one family found $500 that belonged to their daughter!) 🪙
Thanks to recent bills by @PhilforVirginia , we’ve been working to get this money back into people’s pockets. Check if you’re owed anything at vaMoneySearch.gov. 💵
Two more issue-specific town halls coming up soon:

Thank you to all who came to have meaningful discussion with @DelegateCallsen, @CreighDeeds, and I. It was wonderful to provide an overview of the legislation that we passed this session, and to listen to the concerns of those in attendance. Its always great to hear from you all!
It was a good year for invasive plant legislation 🍃🌱thanks to the efforts of the Virginia Invasive Plant Coalition, Cville founded @blueridgeprism, and many more. My & @SalimForVA ‘s bill lets local gov. manage invasive plants listed by the VCDR. @LauferFor55 & @HollySeiboldVA did even more work to stop the sale of invasives and their use on highways. Mimosas are for 🥂, not planting.
Virginia wines beat French wines in 4/5 categories and they ALL came from Cville area! Napa Valley wines did the same 50 years ago and it led to their breakthrough as a world wide wine destination and an 85 billion dollar industry. Cheers to Charlottesville 🍷🍷

The grass can be greener🌱
Healthy coastal ecosystems protect our shorelines, wildlife, and economy. These efforts, plus those of committed groups like the Nature Conservancy in Virginia show that we can create a greener future. 🌎
Coastal conservation work extends to the General Assembly - continuing Chesapeake Bay restoration programs, increasing flood resiliency funding (👏 for rejoining RGGI 🎉), HB 521 & 237 to protect our wetlands and more...
