Sixteen of 25. Demiton has a check running on 16 of the causes that eat a job's margin. The other nine are listed too, because a check you were told about and do not have is worse than no check. None of the 16 has caught money on a live job yet.

AU$8,000 for six weeks. Demiton’s pilot now leads the pricing page: the Outlook add-in for your whole organisation, five named users, and the fee credited against the implementation if you sign within 30 days.

3/ Regulations change mid-job. Demiton now checks each duty as it stood on the day the contract was signed, and names the date it’s missing instead of guessing.
Seven days. A TfNSW C41 direction that is really a variation gives you seven days to write and say so. Miss it, the claim is barred.
Demiton for Outlook starts the clock from the email's own date, not the day someone typed it in.

Until last Wednesday, Demiton measured rework, cost drift and disputes on every protected job, every hour. And told nobody.

The week's update: demiton.io/blog/product-upda…
We added Ireland, England, Ontario and South Africa to the obligation library to find where our code still assumes Australia.
The library took all 144 obligations unchanged. The engine found four gaps: holiday calendars, contract forms, currency, hosting region.
Apple approved our developer account. The iPhone app is coming soon.
And we're looking for people to open Demiton in Sydney and Melbourne. demiton.io/contact

1/ A $5 million civil job plans on a $450,000 margin.
Published research says it keeps $175,100.
We read what the literature actually measures about the five things that eat a civil margin, then ran every figure through the same job. 🧵
6/ Disputes are the trap.
"$1.67M in dispute" is not money lost. But it isn't free either.
The ICC calculated from 221 awards that 83% of an arbitration's cost is your own lawyers, experts and witnesses. You pay that whether you win or lose.
7/ Every number links to the paper, report or spec it came from. Where we could only read one second-hand, we say so.
The clean column is what the job could keep if each was caught in time. Not a result we've measured.
