1/ I'm busy training my first few language models. Within these models, as they're learning they leave these dents in the fabric, and these dents allow the machines to play cards better. I've started mapping what cards are needed to play hands the machine can play
Best Kindle trick I know.
Write your notes, essays, thoughts whatever on your laptop. Export them as an epub through Claude, send it as an epub to your Kindle. Take notes, connect your Kindle via USB, ask Claude to read your notes and discuss.
Great read from the original AI Doomer, Father of Cybernetics Norbert Wiener in 1949 libcom.org/history/father-cy…
In personality we need a category for wit. Call it the Voltaire standard.
In AA-PersonalityBench, Kimi K3.1 Pro shows the biggest personality change we’ve seen compared to a direct predecessor
Each model is percentile ranked from 1 to 100 on each of 30 personality traits. Across all 30 traits, Kimi K3.1 Pro's ranks moved by an average of 30 points from Kimi K3's (next largest is 23, for GPT-6 Sol to GPT-6.1 Sol), and 18 of the 30 traits moved by 25 points or more.
As part of building out Beer's VSM, I built a web app visualising it's parts and governance. Part of that governance is the Crown, which is me. I then decided on an art style. Risso from 100 bullets and then theme's from the Culture novels. Here's the image for the Crown
The way I think of building @DemitonApp is as a self replicating machine. Heavily inspired by Beer's Viable System Model. Actually not only inspired, pretty much ripped off and implemented!
The Culture series has also played a pretty big part in the design inspiration
You know the internet is fundamentally broken when you want to open a news article, but you open 4, as you know most will be paywalled or you being assaulted by ads. And you still need to go back and open another 2 just to find a tiny sliver of information.

88% of VC-backed founders who exited their companies got $0. Eduardo Azevedo and Kent Smetters analysed 157,669 startups and 248,454 founders from 1987 to 2025.
Let that sink in...

Few poems describe a gentleman's character better than Kipling's "If—," and few men read it better than Sir Michael Caine.
Have a great Friday.

🚨 Nightmare day for cybersecurity
Multiple major security incidents, active exploits, supply chain compromises...
If you run production systems, start patching NOW.
PHP: Two critical unauthenticated RCEs. Attackers already exploiting them. Patch NOW
LiteLLM: v1.107.0 on PyPI and Docker is BACKDOORED. Steals cloud, SSH, and AI credentials. Pin 1.106.2. Rotate secrets.
eMudhra: A certificate authority's keys were crackable. Update your browsers, systems, and trust stores.
Node.js / Next.js / React: Security releases for Brotli RCE, TLS bypasses, and TWO critical Next.js RCEs.
TiDB Cloud: PingCAP breached through stolen credentials. Customer information and other sensitive data exfiltrated. Read the attacker's release, fun stuff.
Plex2Shell: Weaponized within HOURS of the PoC. Attackers already deploying cryptominers and proxy backdoors.
BeyondTrust / Ivanti: Actively exploited zero-days added to CISA's KEV catalog. BeyondTrust attacks linked to a China-nexus campaign.
And that's not even the full list.
Patch. Audit. Rotate. NOW.
AI is great, but try to publish an app through @Microsoft Partner centre to really test your vibe coding skills...
Seven days. A TfNSW C41 direction that is really a variation gives you seven days to write and say so. Miss it, the claim is barred.
Demiton for Outlook starts the clock from the email's own date, not the day someone typed it in.
