Akira Toriyama's Bird Studios has closed down and is being demolished. This is where Toriyama worked out of for most of his career, submitting art via email to Toei, Shueisha & Bandai.
As far as we know, even though the building is gone, the company will likely remain an entity as a trust for his family.

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

■何があった？
・週末にサンタアニタパーク競馬場でのウマ娘コスプレイベントに参加したシンガポール人コスプレイヤーのクララさんが、帰路の空港でアメリカ移民・関税執行局の男4人に突如呼び止められる
↓
・逮捕状や身分証の提示を求めたところ、体重が100キロ以上ありそうな巨漢捜査官4人から一斉に激しいタックルを受けて地面に叩きつけられ、左足から骨が折れる音がして激しい痛みを覚えるが、捜査官は構わず手錠をかけ連行する
↓
・連行される車の中で捜査官から「あなたは合法的な在留資格がないのに、数日前に飛行機に乗った。逮捕状が完成したのはつい最近だ」と説明を受ける
↓
・バタビアの収容施設へ移送されると、便座のない便器と麻の毛布が置かれた狭い留置所に放り込まれる
↓
・弁護士を要求しても「電話をかける機会は与える」と言われるのみで、電話をかけさせてほしいと頼んでも「黙って寝ろ、このクソ野郎」と怒鳴られる
↓
・足の痛みを訴えても同じように拒絶される
↓
・逮捕から14時間経ってようやく登録作業が完了し、逮捕状を提示される。逮捕容疑は
1.シンガポール人であること
2.アメリカ国民ではないこと
3.「入国した日付不明」「入国地点不明」のままアメリカに入国したこと
4. 2019～20年にアメリカの学校に在籍していたと虚偽の申告をした
ことの4点

・しかし本人はパスポートなど当時の正当な入国記録や卒業証書を保持しており、3と4は明らかに誤った内容だった
↓
・施設側は弁護士への連絡や医師による治療要請を拒否し続けたが、被疑者が性別適合手術を受けたトランスジェンダーだと判明
↓
・収容先が単一の性別だけを収容する施設であったため、施設の収容基準を満たせず現場が大混乱
↓
・施設への収容が不可能となった結果、逮捕から約18時間後に足首へ電子監視装置を装着する条件で身柄が解放され、病院へ搬送され左足の治療を受けることができた
↓
・「移民問題によって公演が中止になり、私の旅行もまた、移民問題によって締めくくられることになった」「政治というものは、何も起きていないうちは、いつだって遠い世界の話だ。しかし、ある日突然、そうではなくなる」というメッセージを残し、最後は「HARIKITTE IKOU（張り切っていこう）」というキタサンブラックのセリフで締められている

当時は #バトルフィーバーJ の様な目を取り入れようとしていたみたいで(記憶が定かではない)、画像1枚目のポンチ絵たちは目を入れたモノが多いですね😅
結局これらは採用されずゴーグルフェイスで進行し、村上社長が描かれたデザインで決定しました
