Also why is it always a guy that has to act all "this is our procedure" yeah is there a procedure for not acting like a dickhead?
Rant.
On Thursday I found my classmate and project partner’s debit card on the floor of our lecture/lab room and immediately rushed out to the car park to try and catch her before she left but didn't make it in time. So I took it to Student Services and provided them her student id/name, the ladies there were lovely and tried calling her, and I even offered to drop it off if she needed it for her doctor’s appointment (where she had just left to drive to), or leave it at student services for her to collect. I just didn’t want her to end up unable to pay for her dr apt or not have her card all weekend, I know all the people in my lecture group and would go out of my way for them as I would appreciate any of them doing the same for me.
Then this guy comes over and starts going on about their procedure for lost student belongings and how it doesn’t involve students and how he won't be disclosing any of that to me, I told him that was fine, they could keep the card, I just wanted it in his own words that they will keep trying to call her so she knew I left it with them and not just leave it (as they usually only hold onto stuff until someone comes asking).
But he just kept repeating himself and getting funny with me. Like mate, I’m not trying to argue with you. I’m trying to make sure my classmate knows where her fucking debit card is. In the end, I emailed her myself to let her know Student Services had it.
How do you take someone going out of their way to help a classmate and somehow turn it into an argument and act like a knob?

Actually it's good design, you get to keep a webcam on the device when it's needed while maintaining privacy, with a thinner bezel and no hole cutout on the display. Nobody needs a webcam permanently stuck to their screen, at least with this you can attach and detach it whenever it's needed.

Gamers have been contacting my office about being locked out of their accounts and the genuine anxiety this has caused, so I took it to the eSafety Commissioner in Estimates. eSafety agrees it’s not fair and will keep my office updated as they push Steam for better options.

Steam does not lock users out of their accounts. It restricts only R18+ store pages and new mature purchases behind credit card verification for Australian users; libraries, existing games and other features remain accessible.

The gaming platform Steam is now demanding a credit card to prove your age, and barely half of Australian adults even have one.
