Celebrating Maharashtra’s Wit, Wisdom and Cartooning Legacy Glad to attend the unveiling of 'Maharashtrachya Hasyaresha', a remarkable compilation by Editor and Cartoonist Prashant Kulkarni documenting the works and journeys of 75 Marathi cartoonists, from rare historical creations dating back to 1881 to contemporary works. Cartoons convey powerful messages without words, capture the essence of an era and remain an integral part of our cultural and democratic heritage. The proposal to establish a dedicated cartoon gallery in Mumbai will help preserve this rich artistic legacy for future generations. The occasion showed Maharashtra’s tradition of respectful dialogue beyond political differences.
